PolloDiablo, that's the t.v. show. I think the headline refers to the movie, the one with Roy Scheider.

Little news has been heard from Jan-Michael Vincent in very recent years. It is rumored that he retired from acting in the early 2000s and is now living in seclusion in Mississippi.

Is it going to go silent and peek in women's apartments as they stretch in the nude?

/not that I remember that scene or anything....

PolloDiablo

Exactly what I was thinking... except for that scene in the movie where they were using it to... *ahem*... check on the welfare of a citizen.

Homer: Oh...Patterson was right! I'm crashing and burning!
Crashing and burning!
Marge: How could you spend 4.6 million dollars in a month?
Homer: They let me sign checks with a stamp, Marge! A stamp!

And, I went from "Blue Thunder" to "Airwolf" to Ernest Cline to "Ultraman" in about a second flat. I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed.

I heard JMV was in a car wreck (or some kind of accident) and had severe damage to his vocal chords. Whish is evident to anyone who saw Buffalo 66.

Wait, they haven't had any Police helicopters in Chicago since 1979?
Wow, wait till the citizens start to enjoy the fun that is spotlights lighting up the neighborhood at 2am. I miss that now that I no longer live in Orlando.

... powerful video cameras that can downlink pictures to Chicago's 911 emergency center and a searchlight.

Why would they want to 'downlink' pictures to a searchlight?

2007-06-01 01:45:41 PM
I think if you can take the electronic guts out of K.I.T.T and put them in airwolf..

Well, It would have become self aware and started a mission on killing all humans.

On second thought, nix that.

So if I give them the coordinates of my neighbor who likes to mow her pathetic little 9x3 strip of grass with a gas powered lawn mower (do you really need a full lawn mower for that?) at 7am will they drop a laser guided missile on her?

oh wait, this is the CPD, they'd probably drop it on me for asking.

2007-06-01 02:32:10 PM
waste of money. Put it into the CTA. They need it more.

2007-06-01 02:35:31 PM
Well, Subby fails once again. The helicopter belongs to Cook County Sheriff Dept. and not the CPD. You know, Cook County Sheriffs are the people who wanted to be bar wench beating Chicago cops but did not make the cut. They settled for being a Cook County Sheriff.

2007-06-01 02:36:07 PM
So if I put lojack in my car and it gets stolen, will they fire this thing up to find it?
