I'm The Foot Farking Master: Ah yes... I have fond memories of a drive through Humptulips, WA.

Beautiful country out that way. Better than hot, flat, fark-tag-deserving Florida where I am now.

Author of this article has obviously never looked at a map of Pennsylvania.

farking, Intercourse. You name it.
...
Don't forget about Blue Ball, Virginville, beaver, big beaver, bangor,
longfellow, baresville, and black lick.
...
Make sure you include Bird-In-Hand and Paradise on your list of PA names.

All within 10 miles of each other. Weird.

I also submit:

Nanty Glo (western PA) and while we're at it Munster and Portage are also out there.

PA will win any wierd town name contest with ease.

astromarmot: I've always had an affinity for Humptulips, WA.

I'm not sure if it's funnier to say it as "hump two lips" or "hump tulips." The idea of a guy humping the shiat out of flowers amuses me.

I thought tiki tiki tiki no sa rimbo cherry berry buchi pip berry pimbo was actually tiki tiki tembo no sarimbo hari kari bushi perry pem do hai kai pom pom niki no mino dom barako.

They must have changed it.

Washington is full of really weird names that either sound like a toddler came up with them or someone with a stutter did.

Sammammish (not to be confused with Samish). Chuckanut. Tulalip. Issaquah.

Most of them are Native American names, which can be summed up nicely with what Eddie Izzard said when he came here:

"You named your city after Chief Seattle, which is nice, I suppose. And then you killed him."

(He actually died of old age, but it was funny anyway.)

I always got a kick out of Kickapoo, OK.

Chuckanut is the best part of Bellingham. I've hiked that area for hours at a time. Right on that same set of tracks.

Shoreline? I'll reserve my usual snidery for another thread :D.
