Do you think playing too much WoW gave him the tumor in the first place?

Now i bet somebody ends up killing the poor kids dog.

I actually made a mistake to visit the Make-A-Wish foundation website.

I don't think I have ever blubbered like that before.

There was one about a little boy that wanted to be a marine. The took to their training facilites and made him a master sergeant. They also got him his own fatigues and many other things.

I still tear up when I think about it.

Saw a link to him in the armory. They gave him all the arena epics.

Does he get too tired to raid? Else I would have given him the Black Temple tier set.

/not sure what tier that is
//not playing as much these days

The link to his armory page in here.

Armory character is ephoenix.

Nothing special about the gear they gave him, but fun nonetheless. Poor kid.

That dad sounds like a bum. Gets divorced, can't afford 15 buck a month for WOW, can't afford a computer to play it on, burns down house for insurance money, sucks dying son into his own hobby so he won't have to quit playing, uses dying son to get epics.
I would have done the same when I was addicted to WOW.

/WOW free for 4 months now!
//hooked on LOTRO for 1 month now....

2007-05-24 03:23:28 PM
so if you click the pic it links to another article with pics that says the character and dog will be added in 4 weeks. So, since the patch just came out, what is coming out in 4 weeks?

2007-05-24 03:42:24 PM
yeah those Blizzard guys are awesome.. theres quite a few gravesites in the game for characters whose players have died.. you can find one by Dun Garok .. right on the coast to the right of the gates..

Rez plz?

I hope he's not on my old server, I can just imagine him bringing barrens chat to Shattarath.

Drypht00: Now i bet somebody ends up killing the poor kids dog

Exactly what I was thinking. Like when the "funeral" got raided a while back..........

I just can't believe the moran who commented on TFA, going on and on about how Blizzard "broke the law" by letting the little boy play. Puleeeeze!

Death_Poot

I still laugh about that funeral now and again.

the comments in teh article are hillarious
like here, most people are:
pleased with blizzard,
wish the child health
and, well, make a wish is the BomB

but there is ALWAYS some ASSHAT who shi*ts on the parade

sigh

why would ANYONE care that granting a DYING (greviously ill) childs wish MIGHT be against some silly law??

/trolls are not people

That character looks like crap. They should have hooked him up with a hot elf chick or something.

Yeah, that kingofwale guy was pissing me off. I would have commented, but I was 2 days too late... The ESRB law only says that the kid couldn't buy the game. If the parents bought it for him, and approve of him playing it, there are no laws broken. No laws dictating what games parents are allowed to let their kids play has ever passed, and I doubt any could (knock on wood).

Kudos to blizzard, and best of luck to the kid.

Wind Delay:
The ESRB law only says that the kid couldn't buy the game.

Irony detected! Listen carefully: There is no "ESRB Law." The ESRB ratings have precisely zero legal weight. Every federal law which has tried to change this has failed, and every state law attempting the same has either failed or passed only to be ruled unconstitutional. Of course, every major chain of stores which sells (or rents) games has a policy of not selling (or renting) to people under the age of 17. But it's for PR purposes, not because it would be illegal to do otherwise. Moreover, the stores generally do not control sales of T-rated games (which, I believe, is what WoW is) at all.

Damn.... he's got mad gear

2007-05-25 10:44:05 AM
Hopefully his character (or dog) isn't designated PvP.

2007-05-25 01:44:41 PM
What the hell? Doesn't anybody else see whats wrong with this? If he loves his dog so damn much, why doesn't he play with the REAL dog before he dies... stupid.

There was also a bit of a flamewar going on the official WoW forums from people pissed that they gave the kid all the epic gear that they spent hours and hours grinding for.

Humanity, gotta love it.

I *KNEW* WoW was populated by a bunch of ten-year-olds.

The tumour is news, but not surprising.
