I could! Easy! And no, no weird "stains." Most girls - especially college age girls - do not wear plain white underwear. See, guys buy underwear in packs for what, $5? Girls (such as myself) by them individually for like $5-$7.

Also I wear size small and, let's face it, there are a TON of fat chicks out there nowadays. :P
