Yeah, that caught me as wierd too. He's been meaning to spread his ashes at his dads favorite fishing hole, but it's been 12 years now.

/Don't feel so bad for taking a month to fix my garbage disposal now.

heh..
a buddy kept his mom's ashes in the trunk of his car, one night he had a flat on the freeway, had to pull everything out of the trunk to get to the spare, left mom's on the side of the 101. a few months later, he gets a call from someone who had to change a tire in the same spot, found mom. the funeral home had put my friends name and number on the bottom of the wood box. he never knew she was missing..

Alright guys, Ive done my fair share of hard drugs, and I cant for the life of me figure out what that guy thought he was gonna do with something that looked like ash.

WTF.. he drove around with his dead Dad's ashes from 1995 till the present? That's a little disturbing.. oh wait.. it's florida.. never mind.. I am learning to expect anything from God's Waiting Room.

Um get off my lawn?

Xerxes99, the ashes were kept in the house until now, probably in an urn.

Admittedly I didn't RTFA, but from the headline I can only assume the robber intentionally dumped what they thought were drugs on to the lawn. Seems like a weird move for a robber.

Now that I RTFA I still don't really get why someone attempting to steal things would purposefully drop drugs. Nor do I know why they assumed the robber thought they were drugs. Did they interview the robber and I missed it somehow.

On a related note, when you GIS for Fakahatchee Strand, one option is for a picture featured at wildherps.com What an unfortunate address.

Well, you know how people procrastinate about chores. The body had just been sitting around the house until they got around to the cremation a few months ago...

"I'm just trying to think about what they thought when they opened the box up and saw a baggie full of ashes," Carraway told the Cape Coral Daily Breeze.

/Oh come on now...

Ashes, ashes, they all fell down!

Do most people wait over a decade to spread ashes?
We spread my fathers about a week after we got them. Of course, I kept some to snort to see if I could get high...No dice.

It may have been Nancy Reagan. JUST SAY NO!

I too wondered where they made the leap to the robber thinking the ashes were drugs. Newsflash...human ashes look nothing like drugs and have little pieces of hard bone scattered throughout them.
