AWESOME headline!!!

2007-05-14 03:22:16 PM
Mods!!! You messed with the whole headline...leaving out the last part is just wrong...Fix and delete this if you can!

{{{(>.<)}}} (o.o) \\(^o^)// --- I DID IT!!!! -Hiro

That's what headline originally had, and should still have :)

Thanks,
Smitty

sorry stvdallas, but I like the fixed version better. Looks clean, and took me a second to get it. Brilliant though! good jorb.

/+1

2007-05-14 03:31:26 PM
Yeah, but it doesn't have the classic "raising arms" move at the end...

Heck, remove the first part and just do what I posted above :)

stvdallas: That's what headline originally had, and should still have :)

You'll get over it.

The queue did not like some of the characters in your headlne. I didn't change a thing when I greenlit it.

2007-05-14 03:41:14 PM
Yeah...I'll get over it I supposed...been a while since I've had a greenlight!!

{{{(>.<)}}} (o.o) \\(^o^)// --- GREENLIGHT!!!! -Smitty

Better yet, this is a greenlit Heroes thread on Heroes night!!!

Lookin forward to tonights episode. Still reeling over 2 episodes ago when Sylar was revealed as the Prez...

I love him for his work at ILM, his breath of fresh air Hiro, his obvious familiarity with Dragonball Z but

I love "When Harry Met Sally," "The Princess Bride," "Run Lola Run," "Serendipity," "Along Came Polly," which is the one I was in. "Notting Hill" was great.

Along Came Polly is in your interest but When Harry Met Sally? Serendipity? Notting farking Hill? You're on notice Mr. Masayori Oka.

2007-05-14 03:58:37 PM
I met a guy in film school who was for the most part a pretentious film nerd who nonetheless professed undying love for When Harry Met Sally. In fact, that was his answer for, "If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?"

weigelt: The queue did not like some of the characters in your headlne

Probably the slashies.

Still and all, the headline DOES work well the way it is. Nice job, subby.

Glad to finally be caught up on my DVR watching. 4 straight hours of Heroes last Tuesday, and I can't wait for tonight.

Either way, well done stvdallas, well done.

WAFFLES!

Great article and great headline. Thanks, stvdallas

Love the headline!
Love the article!
Love the show!

... and yes, completely love Masi Oka!

There are only a handful of shows I watch, and Heroes is the only one I do my best to never miss.

Although, I am sick to death of Niki/Jessica. Never could get into her character. Granted, no one can break a man in half like she can, but gah, I wish they'd kill her off already.

2007-05-14 05:57:40 PM
I love that he gets most of the press. He does some of the best interviews :)

That's a good idea. A mourning, vengeful father with incorporeal powers would be awesome. That's his flaw right now: too happy-go-lucky for being a guy that ran away from jail.

\\(^o^)// FRYING MAN!!!
He's seriously one of the best characters on TV right now, and I have NO idea why.

stvdallas: Still reeling over 2 episodes ago when Sylar was revealed as the Prez...

You couldn't see that coming from at least 10 minutes away?

2007-05-14 06:26:59 PM
ekdikeo4

Well...Definately didn't see it coming into the episode...nor throughout most of it. I think that when he started acting a bit strange about 2 minutes before he offed the cheerleader, things started falling into place.

So...yeah, I was surprised :)

2007-05-14 06:32:17 PM
My friend saw Sylar coming out of his apartment building two days ago. In Brooklyn.

/run!!!

2007-05-14 06:35:12 PM
Nice article.

At least I know how Nikki/Jessica's son will be used now. I didnt get it till yesterday when I was wondering exactly what his talent could do in New York. Then the whole Diebold angle hit me.

2007-05-14 06:36:08 PM
Just watched the episode. I can't believe they actually let the bomb explode. Peter doesn't explode at the beginning, but Sylar mind controls Peter and makes him explode at the end anyway. Oh well.

2007-05-14 06:40:17 PM
hah Valdes, you suck at fake spoilers. Sylar can't "mind control" people, he can move their hands and such with telekinesis. So, technically, he wouldn't be able to control something that Peter does internally.

\such a nerd.

Remember when Sylar killed the girl with mind control powers?

2007-05-14 06:52:18 PM
He also killed a super hearing person, and apparently someone that can make snow (an Iceman person or something).

2007-05-14 07:07:30 PM
Valdes

Remember when Sylar killed the girl with mind control powers?

The girl with the power of persuasion that worked at Primatech Paper? Sylar did *not* kill her. She killed herself so he wouldn't get her power.

2007-05-14 07:08:36 PM
Sylar offed Eden and took her "Bene Gesserit" voice thing...

2007-05-14 07:09:18 PM
Valdes

Remember when Sylar killed the girl with mind control powers?

No, she killed herself, preventing him from taking her powers. Remember the gun she pointed at her own head? I'm pretty sure that brains splattered on a wall are of little use to Sylar

2007-05-14 07:24:24 PM
I probably wouldn't watch the show, if not for Hiro. That said, I also wouldn't watch the show if there was too much Hiro. He needs to be balanced, otherwise he'd JarJar the series.

That said: any Niki/Jessica is too much.

That said: Ando is actually a super-spy hired by Hiro's dad.

//Look inside yourself, you know it's true.

Btw...we all know that Hiro's sword skills were passed on from his father.

I'll join in the cheering of that wonderful headline, the original one appears to be even better, though.

As for Hiro, I'm wondering if he's going to show up at all in the next season, considering we're supposed to get a new plot and cast of supermutants...

GungFu: Meester Eeesack? Meester Eeesack?

no no no ... "mystery sack!"

Valdes: Just watched the episode. I can't believe they actually let the bomb explode. Peter doesn't explode at the beginning, but Sylar mind controls Peter and makes him explode at the end anyway. Oh well

lol.. that doesn't happen till the finale, silly.. which isn't till NEXT week..

t3knomanser: That said: Ando is actually a super-spy hired by Hiro's dad.

That would suck if it were true. But it looks like Hiro's dad has a power as well, and it looks like it might be revealed tonight.

Sylar can put things back together, remember? He just used his powers to piece the brain material back together into something usable.

Valdes: Sylar can put things back together, remember? He just used his powers to piece the brain material back together into something usable.

Stop... just stop.

Valdes

You are a complete tool. Sylar can put watches and clocks together. Brain matter, when shot out of the head, flies in small pieces that flatten and can become frisbee like and can fly around corners. It doesn't take long for that brain matter to harden and stick to where it landed. As much as I can believe he can devour the powers of others, I will not believe he could piece back together brain matter shot out of ones skull.

2007-05-14 08:00:15 PM
Too bad about the changing of the headline ascii art.. if only subby could go back in time.... and fix it...

2007-05-14 09:27:06 PM
As much as I hate to agree with Valdes, I do believe that Sylar did take Eden's "Weirding Way" power, seeing as how he used "the voice" on several subsequesnt episodes (like in the one where he offs Bob Ross, for example)

That said, I do think that it's total BS that he managed to get it, seeing as how her brain became modern art on the glass. Regardless of how good he is at fixing things and understanding how things work, re-assempling brain matter at the level acquired is like playing with Legos with boxing gloves on.

/but otherwise, yeah - I think Valdes is jsut trying to be a spoiler rabble-rouser
//a hooligan
///a roustabout, even!!!

2007-05-14 09:49:09 PM
Walt_Jizzney: seeing as how he used "the voice" on several subsequesnt episodes (like in the one where he offs Bob Ross, for example)

No he didn't. Maybe he spoke in a menacing manner, but he certainly didn't have any persuasive power.

You called somebody a tool for not sharing your theory about a damn fantasy show? Sorry, but you're the tool and a damn amusing one at that.

No. You are incorrect, sir. He did. HE also tried using on Peter Petrelli. He also used it on Mohinder, if I'm not mistaken.

Did you not see that ep?

Wow, I feel like I've been insulted by a member of the Dr. Who fanclub. Someone needs a boyfriend/girlfriend... whatever you are.

Anyways... they did show him using the voice regardless of whatever else you might think. Too bad. I win. You lose.

2007-05-14 10:48:38 PM
He tried to use it on Mohinder, but he was hooked up to the anti-power IV thingy.

Also, STVDallas is a prophet.

2007-05-14 10:49:58 PM
the producers have stated previously that sylar did not absorb the convincing power, that they simply use that voice for effect. can't find the link right now.

You shoulda used "Yatta!" instead.

Nowhere has Sylar used Eden's power.
