They should issue them with suits with little bells sewn into the cuffs and collar.

Make them wear jester's hats, too.

They hide the donut stains better...

Capitola is cool. They should also issue the cops surfboards instead of cars. Less expensive and more practical.

90% of those cops in and around Santa Cruz are stoners.

Cops in Hawaii don't even wear them
damn straight they don't. The cops here look just like the cops in any sane (read: non-Cali) part of America. Pressed navy blue, all the way.

Only in California. But what I want to know: what color and pattern are the shirts? Are they police blue and black, just in a more low-key cut and some flowers, or are they wacky-ass colors and patterns?

Great, now someone's gonna get arrested for wearing a Hawaiian shirt.

"Hey, pull over brah!"

This is great, I'm gonna go speed down 41st and see if I can get Magnum PI after me.

(I live in Santa Cruz)

Even more interesting in Capitola are the wheelchair cops. Yes, you read correctly - wheelchair cops. They cannot chase you down, but they can issue parking/drinking violations without any problem. I'd like to see Hawaiian shirt wearing wheelchair cops - that would be interesting.

Oh, and a friendly reminder, DON'T GO IN THE WATER AT THE BEACH IN CAPITOLA. It's always polluted and stinks like shiat.

Reminds me that I need to go visit my buddy over in Watsonville and obtain some herbage. I think I'll call him right now!

Leo, last time I walked on the beach in Capitola it was right after a storm and there were a half dozen small sharks washed up on the shore.... so no, don't go in the water...

Sonny: Hmm this will be most interesting when my friend speeds down Bay St. at 110 on his Yamaha again, wouldn't be the first time that crazy bastard has done it. He's gotten chased all over SC on his bike for speeding, only caught once. =P

Yeah, sharks aren't man's best friend. This has been proven time and time again. But as for the cleanliness of the beach, one time when my girlfriend and I were walking down the beach (with shoes on of course), something stuck to my shoe. Upon inspection, guess what I found????? A hypodermic needle!!!!! WTF?!?!?!?!? PEOPLE, PLEASE DON'T DO YOUR HEROIN AT THE BEACH!!!!!!!!!! Some people!!!

Dang, where is the rest of the No Cal contingent? I guess all of those who voted for Ohio being the armpit are too afraid to enter a thread of a city that they've never heard of.

Ah, Capitola, I could almost smell the sea water from here if the garlic in my town's air wasn't overpowering it. CURSE GILROY!!!

Thanks for the photo, but couldn't you find one with a cop on a surf board.

I can't wait to see this on 'Cops'. If that show is still on I guess.
