(Mercury News)   Cops are now calling the Vegas backpack bomb a targeted murder, not a terrorist act. Everybody stop panicking, and on a related note, be sure to pay your bookie what you owe him   (mercurynews.com) divider line 42

I think Dora the Explorer is involved. You know Map, sometimes the dude just FLIPS OUT! I wouldn't put it past him to take Backpack with him.

I doubt the cops were EVER calling it a terrorist action, unless they want to lose their jobs. Vegas depends on tourism.

Just don't expect to get your bloody black backpack back.

It's a good thing this happened when it did, cause CSI was just about out of ideas.

The victim was last heard saying "I've made a HUGE mistake."

In other news, I knew they had strip clubs in Vegas, but this is the first I've heard of a strip resort. Is that like a crack mansion?

2007-05-07 02:23:46 PM
I've heard rumours that it was really a missle.

From NPR report.

It was a coffee can. Apparently it was targetted at the guy who died. One other person was injured.. Some love-triangle dispute.

My guess is that they'll probably have the person in custody by tomorrow.

Sounds like it's time to do another organized crime purge in Vegas.

*blinks, cocks head quizzically, blinks again*

But what kind of trouble could a casino employee possibly get into? No, I'm going to stick with it being turrism. EVERYBODY KEEP PANICKING!!!11!1!

A character from a movie by an Academy Award-winning director that was so successful it spawned two sequels.

Real obscure.

I don't think this was a gambling-related incident. I mean a bookie would've just taken a little sulfuric acid to the guy's foot.

So, a bomb in a parking garage is NOT terrorism.

But a Lite Brite Ignignokt in Boston IS terrorism.

Got it.

2007-05-07 05:45:05 PM
Kunochan

That's becaue a lite brite ignignkot wouldn't show up well in Vegas.

"We are here at the Luxor hotel and casino in Las Vegas, where we've secretly replaced the fine coffee they usually serve with an improvised explosive device. Let's see if anyone can tell the difference."
