At least he finally made a funny one. Maybe there're more, but we just never see the Dilbert strips with humor.

daboodahmonk: eal life pics of "chair butt?"

I think it's when your tuckus is five times wider than the rest of your body.

I've always called it "librarian ass"

2007-04-28 02:18:13 PM
Well because I took the MCAT, and I have an idea about the serious medical condition known as "Chair Butt", it is usually immediately treated with a Cleveland Steamer (medical lingo for hypo-dermal conditioning) performed by the doctor.

So I would say that this comic was indeed inappropriate and insensitive to patient riddled with "Chair Butt".

Dilbert is going the way of Garfield, and indeed many comics in their later stages of life. It's sad really.

Read the early versions of Garfield from (78?)- I'd say early 90's. Genius, a lot of them. Garfield actually went places other than a table. And then it ran out of ideas...or Davis sold out or something. Our local paper pulled it last year because it got so bad.

Same thing with Dilbert, I've noticed now (read the early ones..genius). There's only so much office humor you can do. There's only so much fat talking cat humor you can do.

Very few authors it seems to can keep it going.

Come Back Gary Larson and Bill Watterson :(

Strangely, the way she's gripping the table in the final comic seems much more like she's waiting for the doctor to give it to her than in the original.

Either way I think it means I should go out and rent Secretary again.

No, you don't want to visualize it. you end up finding something like this.

He's not serious, is he? The first one screams buttsecks. All he needed to do in the next frame was to leave her on all fours and have the doctor say, "...and the cure is a hot beef injection!"--and we'd have a new version of the Love Is comic.

United Media only does that on the basis of what the individual papers will or will not print. He'd have the same problem without them.

So let me get this straight: you complain that long-running authors lose their wit, then you finish up by asking Larson and Watterson to come back so they can suffer the same fate?

I'd cry if Watterson became a new Jim Davis.
