I always love the "sexual predators" look at pornography argument. And the famous counter-argument, "Everyone looks at porn!"

Now for the REAL argumet: Yes, "everyone" looks at porn, but realize that what is important in the difference in frequency among groups. Then you are in for a real surprise:

Compared to non sex crime inmates, sex crime inmates are LESS LIKELY to report viewing porn and when they do look at it, they start, on average, at a later age (some even beyond their teens).

This goes to other correlational factors, such as a shiatty childhood, overbearing religious nut bag parents, etc. In fact, this movement is more likely (correlationally speaking) to lead to more sexual predators.

Looking at porn is healthy, people. Regardless of whether some guy from some stupid religion says otherwise. Muslims and Christians agree on this issue (that "porn is bad") and both have semen on their children's hands.

I've heard this argument, too. And it's just as dumb. Not getting any and looking at porn all day are two symptoms of the same problem. These people wouldn't get any even if there were no porn, and they also wouldn't have porn and would have sucky lives.

For those of us aren't total social rejects, we realize that the people we fark don't HAVE to be like the people we look at in porn. More importantly, the people we fark don't take it personally.
