Arsenal won that match, they just couldn't overcome Tottenham's starting 12. Dein did everything he could to give Tottenham that match. With that BS offside call to rule out the first goal to the 20 minutes of added time. That was a shameful display of refereeing.

And a shameful display of football by Tottenham, they looked lost, outclassed, out of shape, and outplayed.

Oh well, a tie secures St. Totteringham's Day.

spittersRquitters: I see mad jens got another caution

That was one of the 18 madnesses of Referee Dean. He was Graham Poll bad.

The distraction of giving 3 yellows for nothing was exactly the confusion Tater-tots-n-ham needed to nod home the second goal of the game (Adebayor was NOT offside).

Never mind that:

Rangers are 1-0 down to Hearts north of the border!

Hail Hail, Go the mighty Celts tomorrow.

Another Ronaldo dive, another yellow card, another free kick, you know, if Ronaldo is the future of English Football I'm not sure I want to watch it.

To be fair, his genius outshines his asshattery.

In recent seasons he has bewen improving, and let's not forget which league "created" Ronaldo: The Portuguese one.

/Still bitter about Porto diving all over the place to win the UEFA cup in 2004
//The manager then? Jose Mourinho.

Glasgowsfinest: To be fair, his genius outshines his asshattery.

to be fair, I have only seen a handful of ManU games this season and in every one of them there's an obvious dive that's awarded a penalty or something.

his stats are top class, no doubt, but like Eboue the playacting is beyond aggravating.

Looks like Arsenal have sewn up 4th as notloB and Everton both lost.

I mean Everton could win out and score +11 goals in three games against the likes of Chelsea and Man U BUT THERE'S NO FARKING WAY!!!

WOOOOOHOOOO!

Also, uhhh, Tottenham better get their winning boots on because Reading has the easiest final three matches and they just took 7th place.

That would mean NO EUROPE FOR SPURS!

Oh what a great day... I feel like Arsenal just won the Charity Shield.

I heard Rio Ferdinand got hurt, how bad did it look?

will they have any defenders left for Milan?

martissimo: I heard Rio Ferdinand got hurt, how bad did it look?

Not season ending injury, but I'd be surprised if he played this week. Pulled his groin again...

They have Heinze, O'shea, Brown who can play centre back. Richardson and Evra who can play right and left back.

no!

I whined and then when I realized Arsenal secured 4th place I jizzed all over the place. I'll be out celebrating St. Totteringham's day tonight.

Cheers!

Actually they're only 9 clear with 3 games to go... it's unlikely they'll blow that *knock on wood* but yeah.

Not to split hairs or anything since I'm sure our Gunners will end up with a CL spot regardless =)

BTW, how about that Reading?

NickBush24: Actually they're only 9 clear with 3 games to go

I know. So even if they lose all three and Everton win all three, Arsenal's Goal Differential over Everton (+11 right now) is insurmountable.

Plus Everton have to play Chelsea and Man U.

2007-04-21 04:31:48 PM
Arsenal's Goal Differential over Everton (+11 right now) is insurmountable.

11 goals over six matches can be covered by just 2 goals per game, which is not insurmountable at all. eg. arsenal concede 6 without reply in their games, Everton score 6 without reply in theirs. would be +1 for Everton over Arsenal. I expect you have one more match to go before you really can say for sure that you have a CL place.

Pixelvision: arsenal concede 6 without reply in their games, Everton score 6 without reply in theirs

oh I know.

it's still impossible. even nick webster's called it.

/this reminds me of the weird stuff sportscasters dream up tp show a mathematical possibility of some sad team making the playoffs.
//do you really think Everton is going to beat both Man U and Chelsea?
///by 2 goals?

hey, I didn't say it was likely

No, Arsenal can't clear the box. Jenas made you farkers pay. That's why you lost.

Stop being a typical Arsenal whining biatch and accept you blew two points.

Season's not over for us, so if you don't mind we'll play the rest of these out. It's fun to watch the Arsenal execs get their undies in a wad when they piss and moan about an american taking over when they've got four farking english players on their whole damn team. And they still play english style football. That's a damn shame.

In closing: congrats guys, hope you choke and die next year in Champions league. I'm sure you'll do that no problem.

I meant lost your two points. I know I know St Tottenhams day.

Fark you and your pedophile coach.

Eh, I'm just glad Man United escaped with a point, one they didn't deserve today. Boro got screwed out of a CLEAR late penalty. You just know Southgate was loving sticking it to Sir Alex today.

ROYALS FOR EUROPE!!!!

We have to pip Spurs to 7th, that would be insane.

2007-04-22 07:29:31 AM
3-1 against Carlisle away. 540 mile round-trip was worth it to put another brick on Forest's back, and 1 more win will do it for City :D

2007-04-22 10:29:39 AM
Wow! Chelsea, what a bunch of chokers! Blew a perfect chance to get in position to win it all and they blew it. I guess thats what you get for having a team with no spirit!

Sigil: Fark you and your pedophile coach.

lol

I wouldn't call another man a paedophile unless I was certain of the charge, but then again, I'm an Arsenal fan.

You Stay Classy Spurs.

I soooo wanted to make fun of Chelsea for sucking just as much as "we" did.

You failed me timmy. You failed me.
