The two women better get what they deserve. They were just wrong in doing that.
2001-07-10 12:20:19 PM
heh, mungo.
2001-07-10 12:20:39 PM
Kinda reminds me of Serial Mom. How utterly bizarre!
2001-07-10 12:37:20 PM
Hmmm one of the ladies "knew" the son of the trash victim in high school. I wonder if it was in the biblical sense... then who knows, maybe they were into kinky things that totally messed up her mind from then on out.

Doesn't explain the mom doing it too though, unless she was involved in the kinky things with the daughter and neighbor boy.

This is where you sit on your porch in the shadows with a double barrel shotgun and fire in the air as soon as you see the jeep slow down or a bag of trash hit your ground. Dont think theyd come back then.

Americans have become to wimpy. Every trick in the book? Looked like about two lame attempts to me. Why didn't he set up a video camera? It is easier to consider moving?

Would have been funny if those women tried this on that previous article about the man who blew up his front yard to stop the neighbor from using it for u-turns. That man is a model American...
2001-07-10 12:48:27 PM
Well that was a shiatty post
2001-07-10 12:51:08 PM
a video camera would have stopped this a long time ago...what a moron..sheesh and i thought my neighbors were bad!!!
2001-07-10 01:01:08 PM
a 60 year old man and his 33 year old daughter?!?!??! WTF! I would expect some 16/17 year olds that have no respect to do something like that, but a 60 year old? Thats pretty screwed up. Either way, I sure as hell would have enjoyed seeing their face once they saw some buckshot flying towards their jeep, at least thats what they would have seen if it were MY house.
2001-07-10 01:12:03 PM
I like how these people felt terrorized and considered selling their house.
2001-07-10 01:16:10 PM
Farkeater: once again, stole my thunder.

I'm guessing that this guy has never been on the Internet. Had he been a netizen, he would know about The ultimate in video surveillance.
2001-07-10 01:21:33 PM
My lawn gets used as a trash can too, because I live right down the street from a convenience store... Nothing quite as nasty as this guy's lawn though, it's more like Coke cans and Twinkie wrappers and empty Fritos bags.

I actually did think about some x10 video camera stuff, and a lot of other x10 stuff for that matter... Then they started with the whole pop-under crap, which pretty much killed the idea of ever giving them money.
2001-07-10 01:42:29 PM
I have a whole pile of X10 stuff, including the cameras.

The cameras are utter crap. The video quality is abysmal unless they are in very bright light (then they do pretty good). A small room lit only with a 50w light bulb is essentially black to this camera (it can see the lamp, but thats it).

However, the wireless part is pretty good, and its regular baseband NTSC, including sound, so you can hook up your own camera to it if you like (hacking required).

Its what you would expect for the price, which if you take one of their specials (like the buy-one-get-one-for-1-cent deal this weekend), is pretty decent. Never buy anythign from them if you can't get it on special.
2001-07-10 01:43:08 PM
heheheh... reminds me of the liberated pink flamingo story too.. *giggles*
2001-07-10 01:46:36 PM
A guy I know was having problems with someone pi$$ing on his dorm room door in college. He had a shotgun in his room and loaded it with rock salt rounds. He caught the guy the next weekend and sent him running with a double-load of rocksalt in the a$$ for his trouble.

Every trick in the book.
2001-07-10 01:47:36 PM
What, you can't afford a trash can and garbage service, so you have to dump it every week? Crap.

Whhhhhiiiitttee Trassssshhhhh!!!

BTW, You can get pinhole cams remote rf or not that work very well- we have some at the TV station I work for, ours are broadcast quality...
2001-07-10 01:47:51 PM
I can almost hear Dueling Banjo's
2001-07-10 01:55:10 PM
The couple still couldn't catch the dumpers after a year of trying? Gawd, that is just pathetic! How dumb do you have to be to not catch two people who slowly drive by your house in a car and dump trash on your lawn two or three times a week.
2001-07-10 01:59:56 PM
MojoMonkey - be nice. He's probably a man of one book, and it just happens to be a very slim one.

Aside... Books... I wonder if this incident is predicted in the bible code? I wonder if the bible tells him what to do? Turn the other cheek, perhaps? Oh, not one on his face?

What he should have done, of course, is RETALIATE. Convert his ace spud-gun, turn it into a trash-gun. Collect the deposits. Let then ferment. Find the perpetrator, and ... well ... there goes the neighbourhood.

hehe. mungo is such a funny name. that's why he got trashed.
2001-07-10 02:23:31 PM
Hey, who wouldn't do what those ladies did? I always say, it is way easier to get up out of bed when it's late, plop my garbage into the Jeep and drive a 1/4 mile to the neighbors. Then I evade the security system and steal away like a theif in the night. If that's not a helluva lot easier than putting the garbage on the curb once a week, then I don't know what is!
2001-07-10 02:34:32 PM
Sending it to the moon in a rocket would be easier...

Pop-unders suck as bad or worse as pop-ups. I hate advertisements and advertising people. They all need to be lined up and shot with a Luger simultaneously like in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. That would rule.
2001-07-10 03:17:10 PM
oh, well my idea was that it was somebody living underground...and they'd just push the trash up through the ground! and that's why they couldnt see/catch em. i got all excited, thinking that my idea was right until they caught the people. bah, i bet there ARE people living underground tho...
2001-07-10 03:23:28 PM
I'm sure you're right Toast.. *pat pat*
2001-07-10 03:42:14 PM
DAMNNIT! where am I ever going to find another family of lowlife to pay to dump trash

........methinks me has spoken too much!
2001-07-10 04:25:15 PM
Hey guys - remember when we used to leave bags of dog crap on the neoghbors' porches and then light them on fire and then ring the doorbell and then run and hide in the bushes and then the neighbor would come out and be like "Oh goodness! A fire! I should stomp this out!" and then the neighbor would stomp on the bag and then the neighbor would get dogcrap all over his slippers?
Man, those were some fun times...
2001-07-10 04:30:11 PM
So Laphriog, that was YOU!
2001-07-10 04:37:22 PM
Hey Lap, what happened if you didn't have a dog? *WEG*
2001-07-10 04:39:43 PM
Did anyone notice that, in May, they got video with a license plate clearly visible but it took until July for the cops to bust the offender? Come on, run a query down at the DMV and go knock on someone's door. That takes more than a couple of days? No wonder people are less than impressed with the police.
2001-07-10 05:29:30 PM
thank you ravincat!
2001-07-10 06:11:48 PM
I say it is either coming from (possibly) low flying aircraft on either approach or take-off or maybe it's someone with a POTATO GUN and a weird sense of humor.

Or Satan.

Or the damned Mormons.
2001-07-10 06:50:49 PM
the cops should have shot those stupid biatches and weeded out the gene pool!!!! don't break the law and the cops won't arrest you!!!!!! blaaarrrgh!!!!

oops. wrong thread. sorry.
2001-07-10 07:28:13 PM
Remember, cops dont prevent crime, they investigate crimes.

They had to catch the people in the act, not just a lic. plate. Who was driving? They'd have to guess from the surveillance, but when they BUST, they know EXACTLY who is involved.

Same deal with drug sales/prostitution - once the money is actually HANDED OVER is the only time the can arrest.

Remember, investigation not prevention.
2001-07-10 07:33:17 PM
The offenders recieved a sentence of 60 hours of community service, trash pickup along the freeway, which they immediately dumped on his yard after serving their sentence.
2001-07-10 08:00:22 PM
Good one, quetzl.

"We were living in fear"
Jeez it was just a little garbage not a death threat. These people probably needed something in their life to make it interesting.
2001-07-10 10:24:22 PM
Old man should've just found out their address and dumped a literal ton of garbage on their lawn. Then stood there on the curb until they woke up and came out and then started laughing and pointing and wheezing.
2001-07-11 03:46:44 AM
Of course they were living in fear - if you're singled out to receive this kind of shiat (literally), then you know someone is out there with a grudge and a strange view on life. If you can't understand why they'd do something like this, then you shouldn't be faulted for thinking that they could do something else equally strange, yet of more direct harm to your person.
