Preliminarily, information suggests the agent may have been fatally wounded as a result of the accidental discharge of another agent's weapon during a dynamic arrest situation

Doesn't anyone speak simply any more?

Thats bad.
Really bad.
But it happens.
Sometimes.

What facet of the description of the events in question as proffered by the member of the law enforcement who has been designated to deal with the information dissemination groups do you find to be particularly confounding?

Man, I hate these planted stories. MAYBE I'll go see Miramax Studios "The Lookout" now playing at theatres near me, but I don't really need all these convenient stories about bank robberies to try and convince me. Nice try, Guerrilla marketers.

Almost every time I watch one of those Most Amazing Super Spectacular Dangerous Car Chase Death Shootout Videos, I see cops in tactical situations doing some pretty unbelievable things, up to and including what used to be called "Polish firing squads." Particularly the SWAT units who are supposed to know better.

I was at a week-long 'defensive pistol' course last summer; if these FBI agents shot anything like the DEA agents who were in the class, I wouldn't want them at my side during a shootout.

I know the theory is that LEO should be armed to 'protect us' (ya, right) and all, but goddamn, there are some total bumblefarks with badges out there...

No I saw this on NBC10 earlier, well I heard about it, didn't see it, but yeah they pulled over 3 people who fit the descriptions of 3 bank robbers that had just escaped and, well...

I wonder if the DEA agent who shot himself in the foot in a class presentation was involved.

I drive by the spot where this happened everyday on the way to work. Big news around here, as Central Jersey is usually pretty quiet and boring.

Asked whether the suspects fired at agents, FBI Special Agent Pedro Ruiz told reporters, "As far as I can tell you, no,"

Here's the cool part: even though the FBI agent was wasted by his fellow officer Shaky McPoorshot, thanks to the felony murder rule, all three suspects can now be charged with 1st degree murder.

This happened a few miles from where I live.

Pretty scary stuff when the most excitement otherwise is a dead deer in the road or something.

I live within 5 miles of the spot where this happened. No one was in their yards this evening - everyone was inside and there was very little traffic in town as well. It may be unrelated, but I didn't get any mail today.

So who dies Captain? Anyone with a badge? Or in the military? Or works for the Goverment?

When you kill off the man, who do you put into place to uphold the laws? Do you then kill them?

OK no laws then! Caos will be the rule, no inferstructure
no electricity, no pizza, no inter web, no cheetos!

Sounds like your Idea of America sucks worse than Bush's!

If a "Revolution" is near... I'm defending my country!

WTF ever happened to the premier law enforcement agency in the country? Now, half of them shoots the other half in the ass when they go out. Or worse. Pathetic.

Oh, and mrEdude...asshat. Work on it. The guy left a wife and two kids.

How do you test accuracy under combat conditions without being in combat? Your idea sounds good, I'm just not sure how it could realistically be implemented.

/It's also worth noting that the article says this particular case involved an accidental discharge, not inaccuracy.

accidental discharge, not inaccuracy

That's always my excuse.
