AYE!

2007-04-05 04:32:20 PM
That plus the fact that they elected a president whose name cannot be pronounced.

Unlike us, whose president can't pronounce anything.

Well DUH!

I just don't get this cliche, and it's not just a Fark cliche. Doesn't that jackass Glenn Beck call him President "Bob" or something because he claims his name is too hard to pronounce? It's really not hard at all. I understand it might have been a little difficult the first few times we heard it or (especially) read it. But if you still can't pronounce his name (like Beck, apparently), then you are retarded.

I don't know, those guys looked pretty sharp in those suits.

Maybe what this whole conflict needs is a big makeover.

Gee, maybe George and Ehud will take a lesson from--

ah nevermind, forget it.

Ah Mah Din Eee Jad. And that was from memory.

2007-04-05 04:52:05 PM
Hmmm. Makes sense to me.

"You gotta bomb sumthin'"

2007-04-05 04:55:30 PM
Say it with a flourish. Ah me DIN e jad.

/Amdnjhd?

A bit off topic, but what's with the suit and no tie look, anyway? Is it the Persian mullet?

2007-04-05 04:59:55 PM
ah my done jihad barack mohammed hussein what?

Actually you're all wrong.

It is pronounced:

ackh muh dee neh jad

Dogberry: A bit off topic, but what's with the suit and no tie look, anyway?

Since the revolution of 79, the mullah's have been trying to distance themselves from the shah and ultimately the west. So they advertise the tie as "the leash of the west" so people won't wear it.

You won't see anyone in the government wear one, but go to an underground wedding party in Tehran, an almost everyone is wearing one.

And here I thought he was going for that "Don Johnson cool" look, especially with the scruffy facial hair. As much as I disagree with his opinions, I have to admit that Ahmedinejad is one of the best looking world leaders.

2007-04-05 05:11:15 PM
My thoughts ... just glad the British prisoners are home safe ... sad the Iranian people are still stuck with a theocracy.

Chameleon: I have to admit that Ahmedinejad is one of the best looking world leaders.

He's kinda short though.

That part is unintentional. I actually have a thicker 5 o'clock shadow than when I started this post.

I have to admit that Ahmedinejad is one of the best looking world leaders.

Cool/Glamor should not be judged by looking at politicians. Do I need to bust out the Rove rap? :)

Persepolis: Cool/Glamor should not be judged by looking at politicians.

Unfortunately a lot of voters base their decision primarily on looks and charisma.

Is that why there are never threads about Segolene Royal's hittability?

Is that like when yer bangin yer sister and she reaches for the last beer so you donkeypunch her but not too hard?

2007-04-05 05:57:34 PM
yea, it shows that iran is weak. Bomb the shiat out of them. America's strong leader would never give in ever to Iran. Can gitmo hold 20million people (or however many are in Iran now).

Although personally I think only the one in the middle and the unsmiling one on the far right are really all that good looking. Maybe the one next to the guy on the right. And what's with that shorty? I thought you had to be at least 14 to join the British Navy?

"Glass parking lot"

heheh

Crikey - I've been to that restaurant at Gourdon - last time I was there (1998) it was closed and I thought about buying it - looks like someone beat me to it.

Freaky.

Iran would make a much better ally than the Saudis. Last time I checked they don’t really have anything against the American people and freedom (unlike the general Saudi population). The only problem with Iran is that their government just doesn’t like Israel and anything that supports it.

2007-04-05 06:04:27 PM
Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran
bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran

Bomb Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

"Glass parking lot"
"heheh"

Just to clarify, I was laughing at the real glass parking lot (above), not the concept of 'glass parking lot postnooclear detonation' which is not really funny.

xebeche_tzu: facts are stupid things

Facts are simple and facts are straight
Facts are lazy and facts are late
Facts all come with points of view
Facts don't do what I want them to
Facts just twist the truth around
Facts are living turned inside out
Facts are getting the best of them
Facts are nothing on the face of things
Facts don't stain the furniture
Facts go out and slam the door
Facts are written all over your face
Facts continue to change their shape

If I recall correctly, these ppl were nabbed in their fatigues. That's nice of the Iranians to give them all suits. I wonder if their fatigues are going into some Iranian museum somewhere?
