Damn libruls. Why does he hate our troops?

tdpatriots12

Not nearly as much as it used to. GI Bill money is chronically underfunded and has not kept up with tuition inflation over the years. If you're careful you can pay for state college with it, but you better hit up community college for that AS first or the money won't go nearly as far.

More and more hard left celebrities are doing things like this lately to help with their credibility in the upcoming elections.

Whatever their motives, crazy help is still better than no help.

The GI bill only pays $297 a month. If you scored high enough on your ASVAB you get an extra $200.

I believe the article said the Army portion was $37,000. For a state school that goes a long way. Not so much at a private school

When you're in that chapel, praying that your daughter has enough money to go to college, who do you think that you're praying to?

You ask me if I have a God complex? I'll let you in on a little secret. I AM God.

He's gonna let St. Patrick and St. Michael do the talking for him, when he meets her.

2007-03-30 11:04:54 AM
First off, let me be clear that this is a great thing he's doing. But it cracked me up when the article stressed that "he - not his people -" contacted the girl all by himself!. I picture him sitting at a desk, holding a phone with a quizzical look on his face, maybe putting it in his mouth and making slight grunting noises before smashing it in frustration and shrieking like a gorilla.

Looks like Baldwin is starting a new celeb trend, Adopt-a-Soldier. Cheaper and easier, and more patriotic, than adopting a third world baby. Good job!

What? What are you talking about? I currently receive $1075/month from my GI Bill funds from my days in the Air Force. Or is $297 what an active duty troop would get?

/no longer on active duty; haven't been since 1997
