Anderson and Duchovney both are agreeing to star in the film.

The talks are happening. Unlikely? We will see about that, submitter.

Ms. Anderson - nude scene, PUHLEEEEEEZE!!!

2007-03-28 02:47:05 PM
That would be so awesome. I've been watching all the old episodes on DVD lately, and I find myself wanting something new.

Gillian Anderson nude scene? Meh, okay.

Wise_Guy: I don't understand the Gillian Anderson attraction.

It's one of those `hetero' things. You wouldn't understand.

About 1000 years ago, Ms Anderson waited on me at Dojos in NYC. I ordered a soy burger and a beer. I thought she was a better Scully than she was a waitress. Which is why I think that they should make the film. I just hope to hell they have a great script....because if they don't....why bother

I remember renting that cheeseflick she appeared naked in and thinking "fried eggs. nail."

But it didn't stop me from thinking nasty, nasty things about those lips.

Actually, SciFi has reruns on most weekdays (4pm CT), so I have caught some really good ones from the first four seasons recently.

Scully was much more attractive than Gillian Anderson. Which lends credence to the the notion that fake people are hotter than real ones.

I caught the extra "the" and left it for some added spooky.

Between this and "The Simpsons" movie, Fox is really riding that late 90s buzz.

Meh, why is it always Dogget episodes? On one hand, it's episodes I haven't seen since I gave up on the show around that time (No Mulder? Why farking bother?), but still...

Anyway, as far as a movie goes, I'm all for it if something gets done to the story. The first movie added absolutely nothing to an already convoluted story.

I stuck it out and have seen the entire thing but the series officially died in the final episode of season 6 when they killed off the syndicate.

and I'm still farking pissed off that they killed off the Lone Gunmen at the end.

Coincidently the episode was named "Jump the shark"...

They should do X-Files Begins with that whiny guy from Scrubs and Scarlett Johanson as Mulder and Scully.

Well if they got Christopher Nolan... wait, what am I saying. Zach Braff as mulder would make me run towards the nearest living thing and kill it.

I'm willing to let the show go. Yeah, it had good times, but if they were going to make it into a movie franchise those days have come and gone.

FYI:

Gillian Anderson shows the boobs off in a small film coming out sometime this year called "Straightheads."

Kinda intense looking...

Already Disturbed: Ahh, looks like they're following The Simpsons' lead of waiting too long.

At least the Simpsons are still on the air (I assume).

/when's the next South Park movie coming out?

2007-03-28 09:44:41 PM
Yeah, they'd have to spend the first hour of the movie as a re-cap. Otherwise the audience would be like, "Who are these people again?"
They'd have to make the movie a stand alone somehow.
I doubt it would be successful, but it would boost sales of the series DVDs.

2007-03-28 09:49:30 PM
Who's insisting what is being announced?

make it CGI and Bill Murray might be in it

Josh Whedon did a great job of writing Serenity as a stand alone movie. It was great whether you'd ever watched Firefly or not.

I'm hoping that maybe they'll get a second series off the ground and focus on something else other than UFOs.

Maybe the Cthulhu Mythos?

oregoncat: Josh Whedon did a great job of writing Serenity as a stand alone movie. It was great whether you'd ever watched Firefly or not.

Serenity didn't have to follow several years of muddled self-contradictory mythos, nor was it released this long after Firefly's cancellation.

Coelacanth

Maybe the Cthulhu Mythos?

Holy crap, that would be awesome.

BTW, if anyone's interested, I've got two box-loads full of X-Files magazines I'm trying to unload. Blah blah avid collector, thought they'd be worth something one day, boy, was I wrong.

Hey, wait, if there's a new movie they're sure to be worth something one day!!

Ahh, looks like they're following The Simpsons' lead of waiting too long.

In The Simpsons' case, it's to finally see if something will kill the franchise. Seventeen years (!) of a TV show and now a movie? It might not even dent it, no matter how long and laborious it has become.

/The Simpsons died for me when they started going on and on about how sensitive the fans were for liking it.
//And blaming Family Guy for doing the same thing, only BETTER.
///Didn't South Park do the same thing? Eh, whiners.

Boy did the original movie SUCK.

I hated when they killed the Lone Gunmen, but I didn't mind dogget. It did lose focus and clarity though.
