What you say?

Somebody set us up the bomb!

Some of those other mods of his actually look interesting, but this one is pretty useless. I can't think of any reason I'd want to do this.

Oh, and the code names are super gay.

Cool. You gotta give the man credit for being able to create stuff like this.

Neat idea, too bad the simian fartknocker built it like ass.
The faceplate looks like an 8-year-old with dull scissors made it.

ive been repeating this to myself ever since the first time i heard this guys name: Yoshi is the gayest name i have ever heard.

sorry, i just needed to get that out.

That on is cool but,

But this one is really Dumb

Yoshi is a hack. Just about every hardware mod that gets posted on Slashdot, he's doing on the show a week later... with no mention of his source or the original author.

Least he could do is mention the person in his show notes.

who the fark is Yoshi?

2002-08-10 05:33:28 PM

I was thinking the same thing Killbat. Why couldn't he build one for that useless second floppy drive bay?

The best thing he did is the LCD screen mod, IMHO.

Paulson: what the fark is a "craddle"?

It sounds like it might be a medieval Irish thatched hut. Getting one of those into a PC would be quite a feat.

The guy usually does some pretty cool mods, but some of these things are just a waste. The best though is the computer he built that had an X-Box, Playstation 2, Gamecube, NES, & Atari all built into the orginal case. The thing is awesome, I don't remeber what he called it, but if you look around on the screensavers site you can find it.

Yoshis boxx

Yes it is Awesome!

I wouldn't trust someone named Yoshi.... pure and farking simple.

2002-08-10 07:31:56 PM
last night he did the "put a window in your hard drive" mod that was all the rage a few weeks back... somewhat interesting, if you're into dremels and plexiglass...

Yep, another example of Yoshi being a Slashdot hack. Did you notice he made no mention of the site or person he leached the idea from?

2002-08-10 08:27:36 PM
"put a window in your hard drive"?? WTF?

why on earth would that be cool? my damn drive is on the inside of my case... even with a farking window in the case that is stupid..

I think, but to each their own, right?

2002-08-10 08:37:21 PM
Next week, see Yoshi install a window in his chest so he can monitor his beating heart. If you have access to an operating room, use it. Otherwise just wipe down your kitchen table with bleach.

Didn't Toshiba, or IBM or somebody just release a laptop with a PDA cradle that plugs into a removable drive bay?

2002-08-10 09:21:27 PM
You know, I hardly use my pda (where'd I put that thing...) but this would be cool to do just for fun.

2002-08-10 09:38:45 PM
The concept is cool, but I still prefer to see the PDA screen while it's docked. Then again, if I had a Palm, I wouldn't care to look at it either. PocketPC r0x0rz. Palmz sux0rs! haha

2002-08-10 10:18:16 PM
Hate to say it, Flambore, but it's true, Microsoft has made a better product with pocketPC. Sad, really...

2002-08-10 10:22:56 PM
So me beeing happy with my little Palm is all wrong? Mmmmmmkay...

2002-08-10 10:45:06 PM
I liked the one a few weeks ago where the guy built a coffee maker into his still fully functioning PC. I can't find the link or I'd post it.

I still like Yoshi's Ultimate Gaming PC the best.

Atari 2600
Nintendo Entertainment System (8-bit)
Microsoft Xbox
Nintendo GameCube
Sony PlayStation 2
A custom PC

All in one PC case...*drool*

Mods mods mods... show me how to build a working Athlon XP system into my watch, THEN I'm listening... until then "Its a trap!"

still lives in parents basement??? yep!
seen a live woman naked? nope.

Falseidols, I think that should read:

seen a live woman naked, without paying? Nope.

Speaking for myself and womam kind like me. I love to watch Yoshi mod a box. I wish he'd mod mine.............

Well...thank you, for that. That's a great weight off me mind.

Sure, the Yoshi's Boxx is damn cool, but it's really worthless without a Super Nintendo in there. If the Game Boy Advance hadn't come along to do what it could do just a little bit better, I'd say that it was the absolute best Nintendo system ever.

2002-08-11 07:08:04 AM
I must admit, I want to try making my own "all-in-one" now. SNES, NES, GBA+TV Connector, PS2, and a Game Cube would be nice, heh. Hey, it'd give me an excuse to buy a Game Cube.

There are always photoshop contests here at fark, maybe a mod contest?
