Hardly surprising- typical Republican asshat. Farking hypocrit.

What a prolific ass...

/more so than I had already considered as one

A lot of people have affairs, so what?

Hilarious. I love the quote from him trying to justify it.

He's got my vote!

Did he perjure himself regarding the matter? No? Then there isn't a comparison to be made with Clinton.

2007-03-09 01:04:17 AM
did he also lie under oath?

2007-03-09 01:04:25 AM
Except that Clinton was impeached over perjury, not sex.

2007-03-09 01:04:55 AM
Eatin's not Cheatin', and BJs don't count!

2007-03-09 01:05:15 AM
I'd just like to go on the record as stating that Newt Gingrich is a douche nozzle

2007-03-09 01:05:31 AM
Why is this asshat still in politics?

2007-03-09 01:05:48 AM
B-b-but Gingrich!

Noam Chimpsky: A lot of people have affairs, so what?

Detroit_Bob: Did he perjure himself regarding the matter? No? Then there isn't a comparison to be made with Clinton.

So what can he bring to the White House in terms of honor and dignity then?

So far the one who claimed to do so has caused a large amount of dishonor and shame to our country

A lot of people have affairs, so what?

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Gingrich was saying that Clinton was a bad, evil person for getting a quick hummer, despite the fact that he was doing the same or worse. As I understand it, Gingrich's affair lasted more than 20 minutes...

2007-03-09 01:06:38 AM
Did he lie about it under oath? No? Well, it's not exactly the same thing, now, is it?

2007-03-09 01:06:43 AM
Newt was just better at covering up his tracks. After all, what woman in their right mind would admit to having sex with THAT?!

2007-03-09 01:06:50 AM
Whether or not he's a hypocrite, he's an r-tard. He had to have known it was going to be found out sooner or later.

2007-03-09 01:06:59 AM
Ohhhhh, I see. I didn't realize Gingrich purjured himself during a sexual harassment trial at the same time Clinton did. That is very hypocritical of him, I agree.

2007-03-09 01:07:46 AM
Hasn't this been public knowledge for quite some time?

2007-03-09 01:08:00 AM
I still can't believe idiots who think that it is more problematic to have a president who lied about a sexual encounter over a congress that questioned a president about his sexual encounters.

Fools.

The hypocrisy is astounding. And I'm not talking about Gingrich.

Ya, but what else could could the AP possibly report on?

He married his high school geometry teacher?!?

If only Fark was on the scene then to expose their student teacher relationship.

/Don't press Newt or he will play the abused youth card.

2007-03-09 01:10:27 AM
But remember guys, perjury isn't a crime unless you're a democrat.

Oh, I didn't know that Clinton was convicted of perjury. In fact, I seem to remember he was found not guilty...and then the civil suit on which it was based was dismissed...and then there were no charges brought in the fishing expedition (Whitewater) against the Clintons...but I guess that doesn't matter when you have a partisan line to hold.

// Starr defined "sexual relations" very specifically
// Read the damn Starr Report - it was a farking best-seller

it still amazes me that getting CAUGHT getting an extramaritable bj will get you impeached because if you can't be trusted not to cheat on your wife, can you be trusted to run the country..

and yet out right lying about intellegence to start an illegal war while stealing every right the people have in the name of the war on terror, rigging elections and letting your corporation buddies rape the people still isn't impeachable.

I fear the american people have some seriously unhealthy attitudes towards sex.

casual_sex

Remember, guys, perjury isn't a crime if you're acquitted in a court of law.

2007-03-09 01:11:31 AM
Wait wait, Clinton didn't technically lie under oath.

HJ, BJ and anal isn't sex.

IamSpartacus

So what can he bring to the White House in terms of honor and dignity then?

He's got both.

You know, it's so funny - the things liberals suddenly hold dear: The nation's armed forces, 'honor and dignity', an over-reaching federal government, 'obstruction of justice', too much federal spending, 'what Jesus would think', spousal loyalty, etc....

It's all really quite amusing.

Wobambo: Hasn't this been public knowledge for quite some time?

Had to be. I was at Ireland's Four Courts in Clarendon/Courthouse during college sometime around 1995 and he showed up with a secret service detail for dinner with a woman who was not his wife. If the press didn't know about it, then they weren't working very hard.

Hell, the man shook hands on the sidewalk before he made it into the restaurant with the woman standing next to him the entire time. He obviously wasn't trying very hard to hide it.

No problem if you're lying to your wife. Lie to the courts, that's a paddlin'.

Newt:

I had an affair in a different way and didn't have to testify in front of a jury, so it was completely different?

Did I just read that correctly?

Newt is a:

///Assistant Crack Whore
////Intern Assistant Crack Whore

mr0x: anal isn't sex.

Not true. My wife calls it "sex for one of us".

God bless her.

Yeah, him and every other politician. Who cares?

The judge in the federal case found he had been willfully misleading in his testimony and sanctioned him. She referred his case to the Arkansas bar association, and Clinton surrendered his law license as a result. I think the impeachment was largely a waste of time, but as an attorney, any member of the bar who knowingly gives false testimony under oath is not only unworthy of my respect, but deserves to lose his license.

The state of Anna Nicole's decomposition? Senator Obama's secret crushes?

I don't think the issue is so much that Gingrich never got the chance to perjure himself... He abrubtly resigned when there were some serious questions regarding his use of tax-exempt donations and monies to further his political causes. It was understood that if he resigned everybody else would forget about it....

I think the real concern is the hypocracy in moral standing. He has, and continues to, campaign on a platform of solid moral values. Some people have a hard time with this since he went on and on about Clinton's lack of morals when he was doing the same thing. If Newt is as moral and 'family values' as he claims to be, then he would be willing to admit that Clinton is a good person who simply had 'periods of weakness'.. just like Newt. But no, I am sure he will find a way to say that Clinton is worse fir cheating on his wife.

Oh and bonus points for Newt marrying one of his high school teachers, then waiting until she is in the hospital for cancer to talk to her about a divorce. That screams moral values.

2007-03-09 01:14:53 AM
Why are we talking about Newt?

Really. Does anyone ever wonder why Newt has returned to our collective conscience?

All of a sudden, Newt Gingrich is back in the news. Why?

What has Newt done lately to bother consideration?

Is Newt, all of a sudden, presenting some new and great ideas on the direction the Nation should take? Not that I have seen.

Why the Fark are we talking about Newt Gingrich lately?

What led the media to allowing this asshat to have airtime?

Why?

Why is this asshole being discussed?

Why?

Detroit_Bob: Did he perjure himself regarding the matter? No? Then there isn't a comparison to be made with Clinton.

Clinton was acquitted of perjury. . .

2007-03-09 01:15:34 AM
On one hand, I think he's a hypocrite and a scumbag.

On the other hand, I totally know that cheating is wrong and I'd never do it myself.

HOWEVER...

On the third hand, I am jealous. Imagine how hot the sex must have been for Newt Gingrich knowing what he was getting away with. Not only was he cheating on his spouse (which, for the cheater probably carries a certain thrill), but he was also cheating on the American public. Man, that had to be such a rush. I bet the sex was incredible. He probably felt like he was getting away with more than anyone should possible be allowed to get away with.

Atillathepun: Clinton was acquitted of perjury. . .

Didn't the bar association go after him though?

direct-democracy is calling, are you gonna let the answering machine get it yet again?

2007-03-09 01:16:34 AM
Why is the Liberal Media giving this asshat time?

Can anyone explain why anyone should care about farking Newt Gringich?

2007-03-09 01:16:58 AM
JerseyTim: He probably felt like he was getting away with more than anyone should possible be allowed to get away with.

I wish there was a giant toilet, and that we could take misbehaving politicians and give them a swirly in it.

That would make me happy.

The dickhead calls the poor people of New Orleans stupid for not being able to get out of the way of the hurricane and this tripe gets greenlit?

Did they mention that Newt was cheating on his second wife at the time. And that the second wife was at one time the person he was cheating on his first wife with?

The Party of Family Values.
