Why spot them when you can just Backscatter them.

Come on England, we can't be the only nation that will invade privacy on a massive scale to catch a few maybe criminals.

Well maybe we would.

2007-03-03 09:01:37 PM
oh come on, the backscatter doesnt make a pr0n of you, just a profile.

//I R GOVT PROPAGANDA! LISTEN TO ME AND WE WON'T DETAIN YUR FAMILIES!

///catch them terrists, baggers! Hooray!

Nice, smitty. I LOL'D.

/would join jihad against people who can't understand "10 items or less"
//Thinks "pay 25% more if you have > 10 items in this lane" would win that one pretty quickly.

Kudos, submitter.
I got a chuckle out of that one.

/"What? You mean you don't carry gym socks soaked in nitroglycerine? What kind of store is this?"

And how about a jihad on those who call directory assistance for numbers they could easily look up in the book?

2007-03-03 09:12:41 PM
I hear that oddballgeek.
I love yelling at them from the back of the like "Hey biatch, can't you count? 10 (or whatever number} items only!"

/I'd gladly go jihad on them
//Usually ghetto-trash dropouts

I've never officially declared Jihad on the 35 item infidel, but I've certainly carried out the will of Allah on his ass.

One terrorism expert said: "Terrorists know if they frighten people from everyday activities they are 'winning the war'. What better than a busy supermarket which is hard to defend and with lots of cars in a car park?"

A bit ironic, don't you think?

Please Mr Blair, have some more of our civil liberties, hard won over the centuries from the iron grip of the ruling class, liberties which were not even surrendered in the face of Nazi invasion. Ooohh nooooes! I might get bombed in Tesco car park! I'd better carry a mandatory ID card. That'll stop it.

Wait, so more fear & panic has been sown through "anti-terrorism" than through actual terrorist acts?

Unpossible.

......No....It's a boy... who uses bags... to bag your groceries.....

fear isn't enough for the terrorists to win. They want DEATH. And the collapse of the western system.

Some "expert" somewheres has said that the whole trouble is that their leaders teach them to believe that their political/economic/religious system is superior, and they become ashamed and jealous and confused when the world proves that wrong, by making muslim countries poor and corrupt, and infidel countries wealthy and... ok, also corrupt.

Impossible! I refuse to believe that the 'anti'-terrorism 'professionals' are accomplishing the objectives of the terrorists for them!

How did so many people in the UK manage to survive the IRA bombings when nobody was there to snoop through their shopping bags?

The Voice of Doom: How did so many people in the UK manage to survive the IRA bombings when nobody was there to snoop through their shopping bags?

I get your point, but the IRA had a corteous policy of calling in their warnings to Police first. They said where and at what time a bomb would go off. Left time to evacuate them since the IRA, for the most part, didn't want civilian victims.

That's the difference.

Begs the question which IRA you're talking about. It also flies in the evidence of several bombings in Britain which killed or had the potential to kill not just members of the police or the armed forces (shrapnel doesn't care who it hits, right?)

Knee cappings, beatings, shootings in front of families & disappearances weren't announced & people still suffered & died. The home made mortars weren't called in either. The IRA, any of the IRA's, attacked, extorted from & practiced other forms of serious organised crime on the general population, not just the security services.

I'm not sure what your personal ideologies are, but the myriad forms of the IRA are a terrorist organisation. And if you contributed to NORAID, you're helped to fund terrorism.

\rant off...

yeah, the IRA has done one hell of a good whitewash campaign on this side of the pond.

image here in the states: Good ol' irish catholic boys, freedom fighters all.

Truth: vicious Maoist rebels who probably throw up a little every time they have to pretend to be catholic.

That's right, kids: the ones who were blowing people up largely wanted to replace the irish government with a "People's Republic."
