Nah, it's just a media frenzy. This has gone on since the beginning of freakin time. Remember when the big story was male teachers? Now it's female. Neither sex is doin it more, it's just getting reported more in response to what we watch.
One of the upshots of staying in school (I teach at a local State University) is that I get to hang out with all the hawt teachers and T.A.s...
I was only fortunate enough to have one hawt teacher when I was in elementary school. Nada in college. Ditto in grad school. Somehow, once I graduated, it seemed like the hotties were coming out of the woodwork. Go figure.
