Is this "greenlight bad grammar" day on Fark?

BillCo: Is this "greenlight bad grammar" day on Fark?

EVERY day is bad grammar greenlight day on Fark.

Besides, everyone knows "Brokeback Mountain" was misunderstood. As the movie's British-trained, Chinese director explained, "It's all about these two brokes who are gay..."

Cool. I look forward to this.

Remember before "Brokeback" became synonymous with gay jokes, Larry MacMurtry was the brains behind Lonesome Dove, one of the best shows television has produced in the history of the medium.

Yes! Just think what could!

Fox and Fox News are pretty different networks. I think it would be like imagining a gay show on Fox staring Larry King.

Let's just hope "Boone's Lick" doesn't deal with the same thematic material as "Brokeback".

Brokeback Mountain was a horrible horrible movie. Extremely overrated. I couldn't understand what the hell Heath Ledger's character was mumbling at any point during the movie.

Check it out ASAP. It's out on DVD. It's one of the least gay things on the planet. And the best cast a TV-miniseries has ever seen: Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Duvall, Danny Glover, Chris Cooper, Diane Lane, Anjelica Huston, Robert Urich, D.B.Sweeney, Frederic Forrest. Hell, even Ricky Schoeder was able to make us forget all about Silver Spoons with his performance in this show.

Larry McMurtry wrote "The Last Picture Show," which was about the least gay movie ever, so...

2007-02-22 11:06:50 AM
And here I was hoping they meant the writer of the short story, Annie Proulx. I have her other major work, the complete guide to making homemade cider. I was kind of wondering how they'd do a show about homebrewing, but I would watch.

I highly doubt it. The Gay is strong with that country singer.

If Brokeback Mountain was about some other kind of "forbidden love" and not about teh ghey, it would have been panned by critics and wouldn't have made a dime. It was that bad. And gays still cry about it not winning best picture.

2007-02-22 12:19:05 PM
Mugato: It was that bad.

I'm wondering if you and I saw the same movie.

It was pretty good. Best Picture good? I don't know. But good, nonetheless.

Good mini series, but the book was way better. I highly recommend it.
