Wow, that was a random reference.

2007-02-20 05:02:03 PM
Uh, there are only a few people on earth who think of Cincinnati when they hear "UC." And all those people live in Cincinnati or go/went to that community college. UC = California or (maybe) Chicago.

2007-02-20 05:02:14 PM
Well, as long as the Broncos are not involced....

2007-02-20 05:02:48 PM
Big farking deal, I don't see anything in the article that says getting drunk and having sex is illegal.

2007-02-20 05:03:07 PM
Puzzling.
tvseries.eduardomaio.net?

2007-02-20 05:03:59 PM
Mr Hand acknowledged that the university is “conducting an investigation.”

2007-02-20 05:04:47 PM
Boom Goes the Dynamite is right. UC stands for "University of California."

2007-02-20 05:05:25 PM
Soccer players do it for 90 minutes... But watch out they can fake it well too.

2007-02-20 05:05:32 PM
....worthless with out video...

you know the drill

2007-02-20 05:06:06 PM
Usually, Chicago students say, "UofC".

2007-02-20 05:09:43 PM
But what about the '91 Denver Broncos?

2007-02-20 05:09:46 PM
Near... far... like a throbbing star.

how many guys on one girl?
limewire?

2007-02-20 05:12:30 PM
This is the UC no one gives a shiat and two cents about.

2007-02-20 05:12:41 PM
I disagree. Which university is known simply as "UC"? They all have a suffix as well. The most well-known is probably UCLA, which I've never heard referred to as simply "UC". Then there's UCSB, UCSD, UC-Irvine, etc.

Admittedly I didn't think of Cincinnati either, my first thought was, "What is UC?" and then the first school that came to mind was "UConn" but nobody calls that UC, either.

Also, if this story is true (which, even if it is, I'm not sure why exactly we're hearing about it), the sex tape will be on the internet within days. It's "circulating the dorms", after all!

2007-02-20 05:13:00 PM
As a guy who lives in the midwest, let me be the first to say:

Even people in the midwest think UC means University of California.

2007-02-20 05:14:59 PM
vygramul

Usually, Chicago students say, "UofC".

True, but there is no sex on that campus so nobody would have possibly thought of them.

2007-02-20 05:16:05 PM
dooleysgoat

how many guys on one girl?

Was there a girl?

2007-02-20 05:16:32 PM
as a UCSB student, I think UC is commonly referring to university of california. Any other use is stupid. And besides, the UCSB Gauchos Soccer Team are too busy winning the national title to tape their sex

2007-02-20 05:16:38 PM
If the allegations are true, Hand said, the student-athletes involved would have violated the university code of conduct and possibly regulations involving residence halls as well as athletic department policies regarding on-campus recruiting visits.

What, do they have a "no farking" policy?

2007-02-20 05:17:46 PM
Oh_Enough_Already

That's what I've heard from my friends who go there. It's pretty bad when a girl can't even find a little action when she wants it on a college campus.

2007-02-20 05:17:54 PM
...four current football players and four recruits engaged in sex acts with a former UC soccer player...

Eight on one? Goddamn, somebody was sore the next morning.

2007-02-20 05:19:12 PM
My degree's from UC, which is no community college by any stretch. That's Cincinnati State. I will, however, concede that referring to it by initials might not be clear to those in other parts of the country, despite the fact that no pants is right.

I'm also a little bummed by this. I had friends throw a party that somehow drew the entire offensive line at the time, and had some recruits supposedly decide to go there based on the festivities, though there was never a gang bang with a soccer player.

/As far as I know....

2007-02-20 05:19:39 PM
Oh_Enough_Already

Lol! True! The people I know who went there are proud of the fact it ranks quite low on the party school lists.

2007-02-20 05:21:16 PM
choice and consequence: ...four current football players and four recruits engaged in sex acts with a former UC soccer player...

Eight on one? Goddamn, somebody was sore the next morning.

Sloppy eighths?

uh oh. 9some for teh gays?

what wasted film.

2007-02-20 05:21:33 PM
"Boom Goes the Dynamite is right. UC stands for "University of California.""

i'll agree with no pants, every UC has the suffix of the city it's located in, and the main ones, UC-Berkeley and UC-Los Angeles, are known as Cal and UCLA.

yet if UC is mentioned I'd still think "which california one are they referring to?"

2007-02-20 05:22:33 PM
choice and consequence:
Eight on one? Goddamn, somebody was sore the next morning.

A chick can squeeze a baby out of there, you think she can't handle eight guys with a little warm-up? Besides, they were football players, half of them were probably buggering each other with pine cones or ass-funneling beer instead of seeing to her.

2007-02-20 05:23:16 PM
South Carolina going to try to claim "USC" next?

2007-02-20 05:26:57 PM
Duke sucks.

/Obligatory

2007-02-20 05:28:33 PM
Wow, that's filthy.

2007-02-20 05:30:42 PM
dooleysgoat: I thought colorado.

At Colorado they say "CU". I would've gone with California. Cincinnati never even crossed my mind.

2007-02-20 05:31:30 PM
this doesn't involve lacrosse at all right?

2007-02-20 05:31:36 PM
very few people refer to any of the university of california schools as simply UC. it's too ambiguous/confusing.

uc-berkeley = cal (sports) or berkeley (academics)
ucla = ucla
uc-riverside = riverside
uc-irvine = irvine
uc-davis = davis
uc-san francisco = ucsf
etc.

as far as other states/schools go:

u. of connecticut = uconn
u. of colorado = boulder or CU
u. of chicago = u of c or UC

the only one that i would even consider being simply UC is u of chicago.

here's a test: type www.uc.edu into yr browser. what school is it?

2007-02-20 05:31:46 PM
My first question to those who think that UC should mean "University of California", my only question is, "which one and where is it located?"

In fact, I think it's more likely someone further east would make this assumption because, well, they aren't as familiar with the California schools as someone who lives over here. Clearly when you're thinking of a state starting with "C" it's logical that California would come to mind first. It's just that there is no university in California that is known as simply "UC" by those of us here on the left coast.

Furthermore, I invite you all to visit www.uc.edu!

This story just isn't very interesting to me, though. Maybe if it had been the entire soccer team instead...

2007-02-20 05:33:45 PM
Hmmm, sex involving a soccer player in Cincinnati. I'm guessing there was cornholing involved.

2007-02-20 05:34:23 PM
Ugh, I apologize for the redundancy of that first sentence. I obviously should have attended one of those fine California universities.

2007-02-20 05:35:51 PM
Wow.. hopefully there was a chic involved there..

If so where are the farkers with the farking link to the fark video!?

2007-02-20 05:36:17 PM
I guess since I only avg 11 pts a game in my senior year in HS, I did not get sexual offers from big time college programs to play for them.

/no 3 point line in 87.
// would have avg 57 ppg if we had a 3 pt line.

2007-02-20 05:38:37 PM
hugram:

each one of yr baskets was worth only 0.5789 pts that season? (on average)

2007-02-20 05:39:59 PM
UC = University of Criminals

2007-02-20 05:41:13 PM
Nice, makes me proud that my alma mater made the Fark rounds. Disappoints me that I graduated a year too soon though...

Boom Goes the Dynamite: Uh, there are only a few people on earth who think of Cincinnati when they hear "UC." And all those people live in Cincinnati or go/went to that community college. UC = California or (maybe) Chicago.

A community college? Wow. I guess you forgot about it having one of the best engineering and art schools in the country? Or maybe that it receives millions of dollars a year for research? That's cool though, you can go off and spout your ignorance.

2007-02-20 05:42:46 PM
UC is definitely Univ. Calif. jackass

2007-02-20 05:42:56 PM
no pants: My first question to those who think that UC should mean "University of California", my only question is, "which one and where is it located?"

When I refer to "UC" without a location context, I'm referring to the University of California system. The UC System is the system model that most state universities have begun following in the past couple of decades.

When I refer to The University of Cincinnati, I either say "Cincinnati" or "The Univeristy of Cincinnati". The fact that Cincinnati got the "UC" web domain before anyone doesn't mean a thing.

2007-02-20 05:46:02 PM
housedogpartyfavor...

Yeap, but if you take the inflation factor from 87 to today plus me gunning for 30 more shots a game, I would have avg 57 a game.

/did ride the bench in 88 on a JuCo team.
// Hit 7 3's the whole season.

2007-02-20 05:47:56 PM
WOW, must have been nasty for #8.

2007-02-20 05:51:02 PM
Furthermore, the UC in the headline "UC probes former soccer player sex tape..." could easily have been referring to the UC Regents performing an investigation into an incident on a Univ. of Calif. campus. This would not have necessitated a designation for which Univ. of Calif. campus submitter was referring to. Thus prompting confusion among those who rightfully associate UC with the University of California.
