The new episodes cannot come soon enough for me.

How does everyone feel about Jurassic Bark?

I've always found Futurama to be one of the most sharply satirical shows on TV, let alone the funniest shows of the cartoon world. I can't wait.

"Like the one where Bender gets shot out in the universe, and a civilization grows on him, and he becomes their god? That's great!" -- Matt Groening, FTFA

The episode itself was so-so, but the ending made it worth it. I love the ones with sad endings, e.g. the one where Yancey had his seven-leaf clover.

Also, click the link to the David X. Cohen interview.

who's your favorite minor character on the show?

COHEN: Hypnotoad. By the way, we are looking into producing a full 22-minute episode of Everybody Loves Hypnotoad for the DVD release. I am serious.

Dork. :)

My personal favorite was the one where Fry moved the stars, I think it was Time Keeps on Slippin.

Good stuff.

Another fine example of a well-done sad ending.

The Bender/God episode is still one of my favorites, along with the one where Leela meets her mutant paresnts and it ends with a montage of her parents leaving her presents and protecting her from the gutter grates and such. Not so much a "sad" ending, but definitely touching.

"If you do everything right, they won't be able to tell you've done anything at all."

They did 4 of those 'serious' type shows. Time Keeps on Slipping, The Luck of the Fryrish, Jurassic Bark, and Leela's Homeworld. All great.

From TFA: ...and this is a week where I joked around with Greg the Bunny...

Greg the Bunny?! How long ago did this "week" take place? Didn't that show go off the air after three episodes a couple years ago?

My wife and I really like the science humor edge, what with me being an engineer and her being a scientist. i really hope the writing is of the same caliber it was in previously.

Ditto.

All the other serious episodes are skillfully done and nuanced. That maloderous turd is merely manipulative.

Friday night, Futurama thread. This should take off.

/You can't prove it won't happen.

I, for one welcome our,"from the future overloards". Also I am totallly drunk.

The new episodes must start with the return of Sweet Zombie Jesus, I reckon. Would the Network censor that from an entire show, if it was said like every tenth word?

/we already have Hypnotoad
//AKA Nancy Grace

Really ratchets up teh sappy, but earns it. When sitcoms get sappy it's formulaic and predictable. Futurama always had a lot of heart underneath the jokes, and any cartoon that can pull that off and evoke that kind of response from me has to be well done. Just as long as they don't start ending every episode like that.

Thirded. That ending fills me with rage. Psychological vandalism.

'I apologize for nothing!'

IMHO, one of the funniest lines of any Futurama episode

Excellent happenings, people!!!

"Awesome Express, the rude, crude delivery dudes."

I just hope they don't get so caught up in the "We can get away with more" that the show loses its wit.

I own the 15 disc complete collection, I will be be buying the next box set when the show finally finishes with dignity (see The Simpsons) in 2017
