I can't find a picture of this "orange snow" anywhere on the internets. I found one that was orange, but only because of the sodium-arc lights that even make a black car look orange.

any luck?

Residents are advised not to use snow for their household or technical needs...

What?

Well it's -11 F here and we've had snow on the ground for 45 days. I'd take orange snow if it'd just melt.

The only time I've ever been questioned by a police officer was the morning after I peed the word "BALLS" into the snow in my neighbor's front yard.

The cop was more entertained than anything, but gave me a warning and told me to get my still-drunk ass back to bed.

Now I've heard of orange snow. Too bad I still don't know what it looks like.

2007-02-02 09:19:20 AM
Likely just Saharan or Chinese/Mongolian dust forming the nucleus of the flake, and probably tangling with more on the way down. You can see the dust plumes from space, the erosion problem is serious.

And that, right there, is why I love huskies. You know that the dog just did it for attention and to raise some shiat. They're too smart, the huskies, and if you don't keep them entertained they will make their own fun.

From TFA
"Residents are advised not to use snow for their household or technical needs and to limit walking, either by people or their pets, in this area,"

Can someone tell me what the heck is a 'technical need' for snow?
