Clever, submitter. Its gonna be a Colts - Bears superbowl, with the Bears coming out on top.

/talking out of my ass, but hope it happens that way

I did not see them beating the ravens. Well done indy.

The Chiefs and Ravens sure did run all over the Colt's "porous" defense...

It's a good thing Peyton Manning can play football, because he's goofy looking and dumb as a box of rocks.

Peyton Manning ... dumb as a box of rocks.

Are you just a troll or just retarded? I mean even the biggest Colt hater is going to accept that Peyton is one of the top 10 smartest players in the NFL. He pretty much plays QB and offensive corr. at the same time. I mean maybe he gives a crappy post-game interview, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't pretty much run the most complex offense in football.

/not a Peyton or Colts fan.

Well, aren't you just Mr. Crankypants? I'm sure your best friend Peyton is super-glad to have you to defend him. I bet he's sending you an ecard right now.

They play the game of their life and the defense plays "Super Bowl" caliber defense and this team still gets no respect.

Quit ragging on our hometown Colt's because you are sexually frustrated that your sister didn't give you any last night....

The refs sure wanted the Colts to lose... there were three absolute bullshiat calls against the Ravens and really none against the Colts. That was the worst officiating since last year's Super Bowl.

Doesnt that mean they wanted the Colts to win?

We needed the offense to play better. You cant turn the ball over twice in the red zone (one of those times being in the endzone) and expect to win.

The defense played great, holding them to only field goals. Actually they played a little too great. Four times a defender being too quick to the ball cost another defender a INT or fumble.

Oh well, theres always next year. Go Saints!

manning has been chocking the same as usual. The D has been pissed off enough to play beyond their means.

No way they can hold up 2 more games after giving up 180 rushing yards per game in regular season.

Crud, yeah that's what I meant...

You're right that you can't turn the ball over in the end zone and expect to win. But that doesn't mean that you can't win... Without the three botched calls, the game could easily have been tied.

indy's defense played very well last game. The offense looked awful, though, not just peyton. The o-line had a lot of bad blocking, the receivers didn't do too much, and peyton looked nervous.

Luckily, the ravens did all those same things but worse. If the colts play like that next game, whoever wins the pats - chargers game will beat them.

I am glad the Colts won simply to cause more pain for these biatchy, whiny Baltimore fans.

Baltimore fans are the worst. They still can't get over the Colts leaving town, yet cheer for a team THEY STOLE from Cleveland. So what if Cleveland got to keep the Browns name and colors? It's not as if the Ravens threw a parade in Cleveland when the they won the Super Bowl, and the "Browns" were in their second season as an expansion team. This was also the team that "stole" (literally) their original logo and were sued for plagarism.

As was already stated in this thread..."Suck it, Baltimore"

No way they can hold Larry Johnson, the second leading rusher in the NFL, to 32 yards on the ground.

No way they can outplay the Baltimore defense, the leading NFL defense in every major statistical category.

The Colts are soft. Dungy can't coach in the playoffs. Manning is a choker. EVERYONE PANIC!

if herm edwards werent the worst game coach alive then the chiefs would have done better against the colts.

"hey let's keep running straight into eight man fronts in every situation!"

and ha ha, baltimore, boller could've done better than that.

/wanted indy to win because the chargers will kill the colts and i was worried about the ravens

As a Browns fan living in the DC area, I was subjected to Ravens victory after Ravens victory this year.

Watching this one made up for all of them.

Way to go Colts!

Baltimore, if it's any consolation you are still near the top in illiteracy, venereal disease and violent crime, so you've got that going for you. Suck it!

Obviously, the Colts are stalling for their traditional choke-job against the Pats.

Oh,uh.Sorry Chargers.Some things are destiny.

2007-01-14 11:33:19 AM
We'll see about that.

2007-01-14 11:52:26 AM
Yeah,The Pats'll probably lose. Since SD screwed anyone not from California from buying tickets, the home field advantage will be immense.

What with all the Charger fans wired off of chai tea and screaming at LT to hit a homer.

Unbiased fan here. I picked the colts over Ravens after the d showed up gainst the chefs. got 6 points. How many times did McNair throw short of the first down marker on 3rd and 6? pathetic offense = no win.
As far as choking goes. to quote Tom Watson "everyone chokes you just hope you do it last". I say Dolts over Pats over whatever mess comes out of the NFC. they are that good.

2007-01-14 12:51:04 PM
Wait, so does every team choke if they don't win the superbowl?

31 chokers each year?

I'm pretty sure you only choke if you lose constantly to WEAKER teams. If the Colts lose to the Chargers, you can't call it a choke, especially since they already beat one higher seeded team.

As a Browns fan I cannot decide who I hate more: Ravens or Colts?

/Fark Modell anyway.

I knew it was going to be glorious when I went out around halftime and both local radio stations that talk about the Brownavens were both to the point of near suicidal anguish already.

Manning stunk on ice, and the Brownavens couldn't beat them. After all the hype and chest thumping and bravado all week long from the Brownavens, the Colts simply shut up, and walked in and smacked them down. Beautiful.

Maybe if Ray Lewis would spend a few extra minutes on the treadmill instead of in the Dance Studio perfecting his moves, he wouldn't have tipped those two interceptions and they might have won. It totally warms the cockles of my heart that the Murderer is the one who blew the game.

Almost as much as I enjoy the fact that it rubs mud in the face of every Baltimoron retard who wore that Purple shirt with Johnny U's name and number on it. Sully the memory of a God, and get jinxed like the Devil.

Johnny was not an Indianapolis Colt.
Johnny was also not a Baltimore Raven.

No one should claim he was anything other than a Baltimore Colt. The curse of the Golden Arm continues. Way to invite on yourself Brownavens.

Bill Frist, that might be one of the biggest cop outs I have ever seen. There is a difference between choking and plain ol' sucking.

The Niners didn't choke against the Bears this year, they just got their nuts handed to 'em.

The Cards choked against the Bears this year blowing a nice lead in the 4th quarter.

I hate the Colts just because every year people talk about how it's "Peyton's year" just for him to CHOKE in the post season. He plays like a second string rookie. The only reason they beat the chiefs was because of their defense. Peyton played TERRIBLE. Same with the game yesterday. If their defense keep playing this well and Peyton decides he's gonna play quarterback, the Colts can easily win the Super Bowl.

2007-01-14 03:14:29 PM
Wow, are you bitter Clevelanders putting extra sand in your vag so you can be even more bitter about the fact you haven't been to the play-offs in almost twenty years?

peyton is apparently such an amazing choker, he can choke AND still win the game!

put brady in his situation and guys like you shout "he knows how to win" and "his team rallied around him". put the guy you don't like in that situation and "his defense carried him". putz.

Do you watch football at all? Did you watch the game at all?
Peyton played well. If he wasn't being measured against himself, ie against the best QB in the game, people would have said he had a great game.

He went 30-38 passing, 268 yards and put up 23 points against a playoff team. How on earth is that "terrible"? Yes, he had three interceptions, which akes it a bad game for him. But given the rest, HARDLY a choke. Again, if those stats and that paying was done by 75% of starting quarterbacks they would have been praised for having a great game. But since its payton, its a "terrible" game?

2007-01-14 06:17:02 PM
Keep in mind that McNair and Green both had 2 interceptions. Interceptions are more common in the post season.

Bottom line, the Ravens and Chiefs would have won if their QBs had been switched during those games.

If Payton is a choker and a second string rookie, I'd hate to know what Green and McNair are.

2007-01-14 09:26:01 PM
Now the post season choke is confirmed. Maybe they could have squeezed by San Diego, but no way they are making it past the Patriots. Might as well hang it up now, suckers.

Bill Frist

Uhh...yeah but that is what choking is. When you don't play as well as you usually play in a big game, that is choking. For example, if Vinatieri misses a 51 yard FG at the end of a playoff game, even though most kickers don't make that, it would be a choke. It doesn't matter what most people usually do, it matters what you do. What Peyton does, no matter how good he usually is, is chokes. Time after time.

2007-01-15 12:11:18 AM

Uhh...yeah but that is what choking is.

No it isn't. Losing a game you are suposed to win based on poor play is choking. Winning a game you were supposed to lose based on medicore play is not choking.

...

or am I correct in assuming that Tom Brady choked during this game against the Chargers?

Brady just threw 3 interceptions (worse than the 2 Payton threw against the NFLs best defense), Brady's completion percentage was pretty poor and he played a lot worse than he normally does in the regular season. Also, his team won by a smaller margin?

So did they both choke?

or does just no one fark have any idea what "choking" means?

2007-01-15 12:12:16 AM
but no way they are making it past the Patriots.

Seriously? After that horrible choke job* by the Patriots and in particular Brady?

(by your definition)

2007-01-15 12:26:54 AM
3 interceptions in a post-season game? No,that's about standard for him,so I guess it can't be called a choke.

And the difference between Brady and Manning isn't just about who you like. I should think it's obvious now that even if he's having a bad game,Tom Brady does know how to win,and has always come up in the clutch situations. Peyton Manning is an expert on finding new and exciting ways to lose big games.

Let's put it this way.If they both have terrible games next week, and it comes down to 2 minute drills.(Yeah.For both of them.)Tom Brady will call some ridiculous play that involves 8 WRs,Troy Brown on stilts and Vrabel in a clown costume, then throw a 40 yard TD bomb.

Manning will accidentally deflate the football, and end up winging it off a camera guy's face.

2007-01-15 06:41:38 AM
Im obviously late to the show, but it seemed like JIM FASSAL was back on the sidelines calling offensive plays for the Ravens.

WTF was up with the end of the first half?!
