2007-01-09 09:24:40 PM
Yah I was actually expecting something crappy looking. Not bad though, actual talent/thought put into it. And yes, new Futurama is going to rock me.
2007-01-09 09:25:06 PM
ya, good thing it's koreans...

I have a new desktop.
2007-01-09 09:48:02 PM
This person also did Matt Groening style My Neighbor Totoro. And Death Note
2007-01-09 09:51:05 PM
Niiiiice. Leela's arms are super sexy.

/stares at drawing for a few more minutes
//no really, I don't have a creepy cartoon fetish
2007-01-09 11:12:09 PM
I kinda like it.
2007-01-09 11:19:53 PM
Somehow, I was expecting Zoidberg hentai.
2007-01-09 11:22:21 PM
honestly, I'm very impressed. I'm not saying that matt groening's style should be dropped on futurama, but it is always interesting to see how something looks when taken on by a different artist/style.

Blackbird: This person also did Matt Groening style My Neighbor Totoro. And Death Note

I liked their version of The Simpsons too.

Add me to the list of surprised and impressed by an unexpected treasure among the flotsam so often found on this bit of shore I wander.

...thanks Submitter, good find.

Someone wasted 3 minutes of their life drawing that?
2007-01-10 12:41:51 AM
I do hate anime with a passion... however i like some of those. they have a very dark presence i think would be well used if they had made the show into a dark comedy.

Bob Down: Someone wasted 3 minutes of their life drawing that?

Translation: "Some chick on the Internet has more talent in one of her coont hairs than I could ever hope to have in my whole body. I think I'll soothe my ego by nonchalantly insulting her work."

What the hell is wrong with the japanese

Good news everyone!
2007-01-10 02:28:45 AM
Amy would probably be "sexier," but many of these guys are spot-on.

They even show the results of the Professor's Thing-Longer!
2007-01-10 02:43:02 AM
I think the artist here did a very good job.
2007-01-10 03:00:36 AM
All hail the hypnotoad!

I think that a one-off episode in anime (completely tongue in cheek) would be hilarious.
2007-01-10 03:56:55 AM
What no tentacles?
2007-01-10 04:57:53 AM
HumbleGod: Thing-Longer

I found the renderings most amusing...

P.S. But that Krusty frightens me.
2007-01-10 05:04:04 AM
I must remember not to flush next time. I'll upload it instead.
2007-01-10 05:04:57 AM

Well played.

2007-01-10 06:25:52 AM

As an anime hater I say; I love it.
2007-01-10 07:25:01 AM
Though technically excellent, this picture just
makes me wish for the end of the anime fad even
more intensely.
2007-01-10 07:38:39 AM

I also was expecting Zoidberg hentai.
2007-01-10 07:52:39 AM
Wow, I can't believe the haters posting here. I think the guy is pretty cool, re-interpreting things. The Simpsons art was fantastic, as well.

He also demonstrated his ability to mimic the Groenig style with the other pieces. He has talent, something you no-talent assclowns criticizing him will probably never have.
2007-01-10 07:57:55 AM
The artist is not asian, he/she is an alien:

Current Residence: outerspace

I beleive everythign I read on the internet
2007-01-10 08:13:02 AM

here is a link to the simpsons.

LesserEvil: I think the guy is pretty cool

Erm, I meant girl? She's pretty impressive. Like I said, you haters would love to have a fraction of her talent, but probably don't.
2007-01-10 09:17:46 AM
I like it. Also, what's with all the anime hate in here?

Other things worth noticing in that picture: The can of anchovies from Fist full of dollars, can of slurm, tinny-tim, a brain slug, and seymour the dog. well done.

/I'm a bigger futurama fan than you.
//my fark name was almost: the man with no name: zap branigan
2007-01-10 09:46:29 AM
I didn't think I would like that, but lo' and behold.. I like.

I also agree that with the right animators a one-off in anime form would be interesting for Futurama. On the other hand someone would be able to say, for once, South Park did it!
2007-01-10 09:50:30 AM
Someone needs to PS in the Futurama logo to make it truly desktop-worthy.

Or get spacecoyote to do it.
2007-01-10 09:54:45 AM
Wake me when he/she does Family Guy
2007-01-10 09:55:52 AM
If I had a Brain Slug on my head, could the Hypnotoad still control me, or would the Brain Slug have a greater influence.

Likewise, could a hypnotoad resist the effects of a Brain Slug?

Vice Versa?

Discuss, you nerds!
2007-01-10 10:18:39 AM
OMGWTF The Simpsons have 5 fingers in the linked photo...

2007-01-10 10:28:36 AM
MerrickMayfair: This one's my favorite

That's from FF8
2007-01-10 10:35:55 AM
A co-worker and I were discussing that it would be cool if they did an anime episode of the Simpson for the next hundreth episode (I guess that would be the 400th episode).
