Good. From what I've read and seen this asshat seems to be trying to railroad three probably innocent young men into doing prison time simply to enhance his career. After all, an election is looming and he will benefit greatly if he can get that black vote.

Meanwhile, the accuser was found to have a bucket of cum in her snatch from multiple men, none of which was a Duke Lacrosse player, and her stripper friend who was there with her says her story is a lie.

May the prosecutor and the whore accuser burn in hell.

"One would wonder why one needs an attorney if one was not charged and had not done anything wrong."

Let that one set in for a while.

I really wish I could care less about this story.

2006-12-29 03:57:32 PM
Or maybe I should wish I cared about the story at all.

2006-12-29 04:19:34 PM
Makes you wonder how many of these kinds of cases go unnoticed.

2006-12-29 04:20:23 PM
I hope this guy gets disbarred. He's ruined the life of at least 3 players and caused a team to lose its entire season, all because he wanted to get reelected.

What an ass.

2006-12-29 04:41:09 PM
Bigger suckage than Nifong: people who consider this story important.

2006-12-29 06:05:58 PM
Nelson laugh. And free ass kicking to all the Farkers who were quick to assume the players had done this.

I want to thank you for the first appropriate and correct use of "could care less" that I have ever seen. Thank you.

Abuse of power isn't a story?

2006-12-29 06:10:23 PM
I would hope the civil suit the players counter with at the end will enable them to find employment.
/don't have parties with strippers.
//collegiate sports suck
///jocks behaving like neanderfarks suck
[of course, Duke sucks]

2006-12-29 06:12:23 PM
There really should be a counter on fark for the number of times people go into threads to only say they don't care. It just cracks me up. Thanks for letting us know because everyone else cares so much that you don't care about it lol.

This guy seemed like he was on a witch hunt for personal gain the whole damn time.

2006-12-29 06:13:14 PM
I thought Nifong was an idiot when I lived in Durham, and I still think he is an idiot. I think he would sell his own mother as a sex slave if he thought it would gain him votes. He is one slimey bastard.

2006-12-29 06:14:19 PM
I bet he accuses the NC Bar of rape afterwards.

2006-12-29 06:14:28 PM
The judicial system is loaded with over-zealous, self-righteous, unmitigated twats who will convict anyone of anything so they can add to their resume` and hope for photo-ops as they exit Sunday services at the Baptist Church dujour.

I equate this moran to John Dean, who would sell his mother's soul for a one-way bus ticket to the red-light district of any Hometown, USA.

And I thought Hitler's kids died with him.

Nice.

2006-12-29 06:15:01 PM
I also hope he gets disbarred.

+1 subby

Go BWAT Nifong.

2006-12-29 06:15:58 PM
Wow, I didn't think these would be brought up. I guess the system sometimes works.

2006-12-29 06:16:06 PM
So who hasn't ruined a few lives to impress the black community? We've all done it.

2006-12-29 06:16:18 PM
After all, an election is looming and he will benefit greatly if he can get that black vote.

Which is like 45% black.

I find it shocking the the bar would touch one of their own, esp here in NC.

2006-12-29 06:17:22 PM
This is one case I actually do care about. Him trying to convict 3 innocent people just for political gain is horrible and he should pay.

2006-12-29 06:17:53 PM
How can this Nifong a-hole ever work as a prosecutor ever again? I'd have a hard time believing him in court after all this.

2006-12-29 06:20:11 PM
Why do they call it the "duke" rape case????
If I were to rape someone would they call it the "company x" rape case?
What about the new kids that just started school this year? how do they feel about being tossed in with all the players and called rapists.

I have friends in the Va Bar and they typically take this stuff very seriously. If Nifong suffers sanctions, you can bet the Va Bar will mirror the sanctions to prevent the asshat from crossing state lines to make some quick cash.

/most Bar associations hate lawyers who make the rest look more slimey than they already are.

Where the hell is the "Obvious" tag? That this guy is unethical (and sucks) is the most obvious obviousness that ever obvioused.

2006-12-29 06:22:11 PM
Let's at least wait for the trial before we sit here and deem people guilty or innocent.

As for these ethics charges, I don't see much of anything coming of them.

2006-12-29 06:23:31 PM
As much as I hate Duke, lacrosse players, and the whole "jockocracy" in general, I love justice more. I'd hate to see three people get railroaded for a crime they didn't commit. We're all worse off as a society when things like that happen.

And as far as Nifong's statement: "One would wonder why one needs an attorney if one was not charged and had not done anything wrong."

I can't believe anyone who graduated from law school, much less had practiced for years, could utter something so stupid and fundamentally unconstitutional. Literally: his statement goes directly against all principles of criminal law in the United States. He sounds like a conservative talk show hose - not a professional member of the bar. Boot him.

2006-12-29 06:24:25 PM
What a fool he has made of himself.

As much as I hope he is disbarred for these and other sins, I don't know how the following statement is sanctionable:

"I am convinced there was a rape, yes, sir."

It's hard to see from the context- if this was in response to a question, it is a fairly innocuous comment.

Pretty much everything else he was charged with, I don't have a problem with him being disciplined.

2006-12-29 06:24:28 PM
Even if you believe the lacrosse players did it, you should still support felony charges for Nifong. He charged people with crimes based on the say-so of an accuser who could not identify the accused, without any other evidence*. He never bothered to talk to the accuser despite this fact. He ignored an airtight alibi, and engaged in conspiracy to cover up exculpatory DNA evidence. Now, perhaps one of you knows of supernatural evidence that the lacrosse players are still guilty, but if so, I'd want to prove Nifong had access to this.

*if he had said evidence, he wouldn't have dropped the rape part of the charges when she changed her story to "no penetration".

2006-12-29 06:26:47 PM
As for these ethics charges, I don't see much of anything coming of them.

Oh really? The NC bar has been building the case against Nifong since last March, apparently. I think they have known all along that something was rotten with this one. I'd imagine that if they have been building their case for disciplinary charges against Nifong for that long, it's probably pretty solid. You'd figure they'd have dropped the investigation a long time ago if there wasn't anything against him. This isn't something a bar association does on a whim; this is a big shiat.

2006-12-29 06:27:08 PM
The scary thing is that this kind of thing probably happens a lot, but most people don't have enough money to fight it.

So they get rail-roaded by the system and thrown in jail, based on the assumption that if the police/prosecutors think you did it, then you must be guilty.

Also, drunk strippers who claim they were raped make it harder for hundreds of other woman who actually are raped. Nice going, whore.

2006-12-29 06:29:28 PM
DogsInBathtub: I bet he accuses the NC Bar of rape afterwards.

It's going to be close to that, I'm sure.

"One would wonder why one needs an attorney if one was not charged and had not done anything wrong."

This statement makes me want to vomit.

(rant)

I love our system of government and the idea that someone is innocent until proven guilty. Unfortunatly this is not how it works in the real world, and people need lawyers (read: money) to defend themselves, even if they are innocent. I think the prosecutor's offices should have to pay the defense bills of those found not guilty. Maybe then they would wait until they knew they were correct before pressing charges. The burden of proof is supposed to be on the plaintiff, not on the defendants. Unfortunatly the media always spins that the other direction, and become the prosecutor's best asset. (especially in a racially/socially/economically charged case such as this.)

My brother lived in Durham when all this shiat was hitting the fan. He sniffed this prosecutor out for being an unscrupulous SOB really early on. He was looking to win an election not to bring the truth forward.

falkon

Why do they call it the "duke" rape case????

Ummmm... maybe because it makes the case easily identified in news stories and the defendants are members of Duke's lacrosse team?

If I were to rape someone would they call it the "company x" rape case?

Ask Jeff Skilling that question and come back later. It is easier in the news to describe the "Enron scandal" instead of "Executive-level douchebags at a major energy company (but we won't mention the energy company by name because its rank-and-file employees might be embarrassed) scandal."

What about the new kids that just started school this year? how do they feel about being tossed in with all the players and called rapists.

Wow. I think I'll just stop here and let this idiocy shine with a light all its own. Lighten up, Francis.

If Nifong gets disbarred for this- and he should- that may make it really, really easy for those duke players to sue him into the poorhouse.

He deserves it and it will be an object lesson to other prosecuters who might otherwise walk down the same path.

2006-12-29 06:36:45 PM
One of my friends had a bachelor party and the dancer orginally hired fell through and another friend just called somebody out of the yellow pages. They gave us an inexpensive price for two girls and the next night two rather..... umm.. not very attractive girls showed up by themselves with no bodyguard. The whole thing just seemed really sketchy but you only get one bachelor party so we had to accept it. Pretty disapointing all around, but after this case happened I realize how bad it could've really been.

Seriously farkers, if anybody has a party with strippers demand they bring a male bodyguard who's in the room to observe and verify that nothing wrong happened. And keep the stripper in that one room!

2006-12-29 06:45:31 PM
He tried to make his career by hanging rich white boys out to dry on a charge he knew was bullshiat, figuring no one likes rich white boys...

I guess that backfired, farker.

2006-12-29 06:46:19 PM
It boggles the mind how somebody can put themselves in the national spotlight and say such fiery words as were used with absolutely nothing to back it up. How can this guy not see these things coming? How was he even able to convince anyone this was going to work? "Well there's no scientific evidence, but I think I can legitimately get three innocent people convicted of a felony with zero leverage."

And not for nothing, but this guy better write some sort of "If They Raped Her, Here's How It Happened" real quick, because otherwise he'll be in court for the next year watching his moneycash get yanked because instead of a brain, there's just a little stick figure fisting crayons drawing on the inside of his skull.

2006-12-29 06:46:32 PM
When is his hanging, and will it be televised?

2006-12-29 06:51:25 PM
String him up.

Let the defendants kick the stool out from under him.

2006-12-29 06:55:18 PM
This Nifong asshat and the lying trailer trash slut who made the accusations in the first place should move to Apache Junction, buy a trailer, and eek out a living glueing antlers onto dead rabbit skulls to sell them to tourists for $5 apiece.

Then, they should be forced to use the money to buy me pony!

2006-12-29 06:58:29 PM
This case is so farked guilty or not I dont see these guys getting convicted.

2006-12-29 07:01:27 PM
Al Sharpton has just revealed that it was Nifong who actually raped Tawanna Brawley.

2006-12-29 07:02:02 PM
Wait....wasn't Nifong part of the winless Wake Forest lacrosse team of 1971?

/I'm just saying....
//senses a Lifetime Channel raped-stripper crapumentary.
///had to pick any other college in NC, sorry.

2006-12-29 07:07:25 PM
Nifong -- Here's hoping that justice is better served in your behalf than to those Duke students you were persecuting prosecuting.

/plenty of suckage to go around
