In their defense, very, very few people actually know how to fight. There are many factors in fighting, and it takes alot of experence in street fighting, training in martial arts, or both. Even with that, there are physical issues to consiter, like "hit points" and ability to resist being knocked out. You either have that or you do not, and if you do not you will not be a good fighter.

If these guys actually trained to fight instead of play basketball, they could be very dangerous. Be thankful.

So, so true. Then again, there are pussies in hockey(See: Matt Cooke)

But for the most part I could probably beat 95% of the NBA at boxing, and I am just an internet tough guy. Just don't let them have guns. They'd have their chaffeur do a drive-by or something.

It doesn't take that much fighting knowledge to tell the difference between "fighting" and "playing tag".

I'm 5'8" and 165, and I would happily take on 90% of the NBA in a fistfight.

The exceptions, of course, include Shaq and that one dude who used to play for the Kings whose wife forced him to look at her every two seconds during gameplay.

there are guys in the NBA who can fight, then there's Carmelo Anthony.

/that was the weakest slap and run ever, they shouldn't ban him but instead during the introductions show a close up of the open handed slap and the run the backpedalling away on infinite loop.

i think most of you are forgetting that most NBA player are taller then 6' 6" , can sprint faster than you, work out more, and don't sit on there computers all day(get this, they play basketball a couple nights a week)

just cause mello is a pansy for skipping away doesn't mean 90% of them won't kick our asses.

/I know they would kick mine.

Seriously though I have been looking at the video and it almost looks like the sucker punch by 'Mello is more like a slap.

If I were a team owner, I would hire me a Bas Ruten or a Krocop to sit on the bench. Once these overpaid jackasses started acting tough and slapfighting each other, my pro fighter would run out there and destroy them and teach them the meaning of the word brawl.
