I went to one of the top 5 high schools in the USA, it was public but better then any private :P

Wait... when the significant amounts do what, exactly? What are the significant amounts doing?!

Don't leave me confused!

No, those kids will hit Ivy league schools and be running Wall Street in 15 years.

Which is more scary?

/the other elite school in the area is all over the news with a grade fixing scam. Seems some student was selling his services after he hacked into the school's computer and changed some grades. Kids today...

Smitty was in the evidence room after the bust apparently

/this is your headline submission on drugs.

2006-12-09 03:17:56 PM
uhm, i went to an unnamed "elite" school and i can confirm the presence of a multiple variety of drugs. prostitution, lesbianism, orgies, weapons and stolen goods were also freely available, you just had to go to the right places. you also receive a top-notch education that'll serve you the rest of your life so i guess it's win-win.

2006-12-09 03:22:01 PM
I think `dumbass` perhaps refers to the submitter, given that drugs were...something(any chance of a verb, farkwit?)..at "a (sic) "elite" school".

Ditto (except the bit about the prostitution and orgies, dammit). Despite everything the focus on academics was there and most of the kids somehow managed to become decent adults, as most kids always have.

Drug users are prevalent in every strata of society, including among the very successful. While the common perception of a druggie is someout out of control, many people just have a facet of their lives that includes consumption of substances that society thinks they shouldn't be using.

2006-12-09 03:22:51 PM
Yea when I saw elite school and philly.com I thought they were gonna mention the high school i graduated from.

Because if you talked to the right groups, you could get your hands on anything.

Hey, kids with rich parents send their kids to these schools, and in turn give their kids plenty of money. What to do with a couple hundred dollars? Buy a few grams of rock thats what!

He also indicated that even things as simple as a box of cold medicine will be scrutinized: Any student required to have prescription or over-the-counter medicine must alert the school nurse, Brennan said.

While they let child molesters free and the scandals everywhere, the prisons are to stuff with minorities, mandatory minimum sentences on drug charges, you can be free sooner if you murdered someone. Where the only violence comes from rival gangs and police. The drugs are not the problem, keeping them illegal is.

It's a good book until about halfway thru when it's illegal an it researches all the movements and then decade by decade history no it, gets kinda boring, but I lent it to a friend, and it's only $14 bucks.

I looked for it in '02 or 3 and didn't find it, then found it in the last few years, and I found out ABOUT it here and here.

/pops all around

I went to an exclusive, rich-kid Catholic high school in the Bay Area.

More dope there than you could shake a stick at. Plus, we had the added bonus of an administration that wouldn't want a scandal to tarnish the school image, which simply meant they never went after us as long as we kept it resonably discreet.

In four years at that school, I'm pretty sure we propped up the economies of Trinity, Shasta and Humboldt counties, as well as a handful of South American dictatorships.

Good times, ridiculously good times.

I graduated, went to college for a CS degree, and ended up making a lot of money.
