Can you bring your own arsenal or do you have to use the house gear?

Waitaminit! The cruise is the target?

Fuhgedaboudit.

fark the cruise, but I'd hit the writer every day and twice on Sundays

Slow moving target, no, more like blatant provocation and incitement. The ship brings infidel tour groups that enjoy alcohol, mixed-gender swimming pools on board the ship into the ports of Muslim countries.

Oh, cry me a river. How about when conservative Muslims come to the US, they not biatch and moan when we need them to take off their facial coverings for drivers license photos. Or maybe not scream "DISCRIMINATION" when we encourage them not to drop to their knees and pray in airports before they fly.

"Blatant provocation and incitement" goes both ways.

\thinks it is absolute bullshiat that non-Muslim women who travel in Muslim countries are made to wear facial coverings.
\\how would they like it if we forced them to wear a cross or a star of david while they traveled here?

Sounds lovely, one more thing as an average working class American Joe I'll never get to experience. I'd love to travel, really, but that stuff is expensive. I'm not quite adventurous enough to chuck it all and travel rough. The rest of the world wonders why Americans are so provincial, lack of funds and very little time off from our jobs.

After getting my passport stamped, I looked back at the sea of waiting passengers, thankful I wasn't one of them.

...

From the time the stewardess escorted me to my suite, champagne in hand, to the time I left the ship in Safaga, I never once heard the word "no."

she'd be a joy to date.

copperheadclgp, that is why we're better. Because we're secular. Maybe we should make everyone wear a question mark...

You're right, that's bullshiat. But not in the way you think.
Where did you hear this?

From many sources, but the most recent and credible would be a report by Bobby Model and Kira Salak, reporters/photographers for National Geographic.

To quote:

"Khamenei and his hard-line colleagues are the reason why all the women I see, including foreigners and non-Muslims like myself, are required by law to wear hejab, or Muslim women's attire, over their normal clothes." - "Iran: Travels in Hostile Territory", National Geographic Adventure Magazine, November 2006 issue, page 69.

I used to work for a company that offered free cruises to the Middle East. Unfortunately, all of the drinks on board were non-alcoholic.

I think it's bullshiat for any woman to be forced to wear that crap. It's demeaning & oppressive. I feel sorry for any of my fellow females stuck in that type of situation.

What about your fellow females who are forced NOT to wear it?

Nothing bad has ever happened to Westerners in the Middle East, has it?

Traveling to the Middle East and Africa can be daunting, especially in times of political instability, and I had been putting off my lifelong dream vacation to Egypt for a long time.

My mom just went to Egypt and she's 65 years old. That happened to be the median age of the people on her tour, for fark's sake. Then again my mom and her travelling companions evidently aren't cowardly pussies like the article's author.
