And most of the FarkLibtards will be watching and believing every moment of it.... with hard nipples.

I won't be believing it, that would be silly and stupid to believe it. But I will laugh, oh how I will laugh. And it will be great and patriotic, because freedom oof speech is what we americans are all about. So shut your pie hole and go listen t Rush Limbaugh some more.

/might have spelled that wrong.
//too tired to find out for sure.

If they are going to make them characters I suggest this:

Just remember, it's not falafel, it's freedom balls.

Torture school lunch ladies for threatening to serve falafal?

Damn right!

Falafal is heaven if done right, but resembles something that would come out of the unholy arsehole of Satan himself if done poorly. And "poorly" is high praise for most school lunch programs.

What's wrong with South Park? I think they are an equal opportunity offender.

If you consider tonguing Karl Rove's nuts every hour on the hour equal opportunity, then yes.

Vangor:

For anyone planning to critisize the show, the fact is this is an adult cartoon show designed to mock, and unless you do live beneath a rock, the administration is at the forefront of all douches.

looks like we found part of the target audience for this show.

Did somebody say "falafel"?

I thought "That's My Bush" was taken off the air as part of the whole "Stand behind our president"TM movement that came about after 9/11?

It was and man I'm still pissed about it. I really liked that show. Kudos to the folks making this new cartoon.

Phonics Monkey appreciates the fact that Americans have the right to vote.

Anyway, I think the odd (and baseless) selection of Condi's type-cast in this cartoon reveals a little more about its creator's motives.

How so? Condi has a PhD and she's sycophant of the administration.

I wonder if conservatives feel the way about Doonesbury that I feel about Mallard Fillmore? I bet this show is going to suck it long and suck it hard, I probably won't be watching it anyhow. Subtle satire is much better (the main reason I think that Mallard Fillmore is awful). Oh, and jbar19...it's a farking cartoon, man...

untrustworthy

"What's wrong with South Park? I think they are an equal opportunity offender."

They say some things that obviously don't fit into his/her ideology so therefore they must be right wing hacks. Well, that's what one of my left wing friends said anyway. He saw an interview with Stone and Parker and said "Dude, those guys a such Republicans."

I think they once made the pronouncement in an interview several years ago that they were Republicans, but it looked to me like they were just f.ing with reporter.

The new show does look funny.

2006-12-04 06:01:33 PM
I thought That's My Bush was hilarious.

You just have to understand that the show wasn't really political commentary but rather a commentary on the classic sitcom formula.

I don't envision this new cartoon as going very far, but then again I never thought Drawn Together would reach it's second season either.

As long as the show doesn't feature a "Li'l Mohammed" character, I don't forsee any problems.

2006-12-04 06:04:19 PM
saw this on youtube about a month or two ago.

it is terrible. Unfunny and obvious humor at its worst

2006-12-04 06:05:16 PM
Falafel??? They'd better have lil' billO then!

2006-12-04 06:05:22 PM
mofomisfit - ...But then I saw that believing was the word used, and I think that it's perhaps now the most asinine statement I've ever seen on fark, whether it's a troll or not. I mean, I don't accuse staunch conservatives of BELIEVING that there's a conservative anthropomorphic duck working at some paper making lame attempts at humor.

If you hear what they listen to on their talk radio and believe word-for-word, is that really so far off?

2006-12-04 06:05:35 PM
It's great that the network too afraid to show a cartoon image of the pedophile prophet Mohammed has found some safer targets.

Vangor: For anyone planning to critisize the show, the fact is this is an adult cartoon show designed to mock

The fact that it is "an adult cartoon show designed to mock" does not necessarily mean that it will be good or that it shouldn't be criticized. We'll have to watch and see. Good satire requires wit, not just bile. If they try to hit me over the head with blunt and obvious points that anyone could think of, then I will conclude that they aren't clever enough to be good at it.

2006-12-04 06:06:46 PM
I'm a dyed in the wool Liberal and think Mr Bush should be put out to pasture, clearing brush at his "ranch" in Crawford.

Nonetheless, the "idea" for this show strikes me as stupid to the nth degree.

2006-12-04 06:08:45 PM
Are these the same people who made Lil' Bill or is it a ripoff?

2006-12-04 06:10:19 PM
Wikipedia says Thats my Bush! was canceled because it sucked, not because of 911.

And everything on comedy central is terrible. This will be no exception.

/cept south park.

2006-12-04 06:10:51 PM
"What could possibly go wrong?"

I don't get it. Are we to fear a CIA hit on the producers/writers? Or is it just the impossibility of satirizing someone who's already just a caricature of a previous mediocre president?

2006-12-04 06:11:46 PM
As much as I hate Bush and constantly cast voodoo curses on him and all his descendants, this show will only work if its genuinely funny. The creators will have to be purely merciless to do so, too. If they tone it down in any way politically it will fail, so let's hope they don't bow to the inevitable neocon pressure to pull or change it any.

OOo... I'm so (Mad/Happy) about this! I think it is (Completely Rediculous/About Time) something like this gets airtime. You people who (Hate/Love) Bush will probably think this is (Shameful/Amusing) but ya'll just need to STFU and DIAF.

I am SO going to steal this concept and do my part in making it a Farkliche.

2006-12-04 06:12:51 PM
It sounds like that amazingly bad "That's my Bush." South Park is the only show that has really pulled off political satire because the writers are actually clever and not boring party zealots.

2006-12-04 06:14:09 PM
I've seen it on youtube and it just ain't funny. Just because it's critical of Bush doesn't make it worthy of it's own show.

watch the youtube link, it's crap.

bush is an ass and should never have been allowed out of barbara's womb, but that show just isn't funny or well animated.

Nice comment from the UK on Youtube knocking a guy for insisting out glorious leader should be respected because he has power. Nice to see some rationality, even if it has to come outside of our borders.

I agree. Not funny. It's just beating a dead horse as far as I'm concerned. I'm sick and tired of the entire administration - I don't need a cartoon to drive the point home.

Saw it. Pretty cute, kinda fuuny, but just not mean/controversial enough for me. If you're going to do something like this it should blatenlty call this bastard out for what he is.

Maybe something like...Bush is Satan and you can smell the sulfer at the potium after he's been there.
