No. It's the same asshat who has so far reimbursed the state over $80,000 for the impropriety. No one's actually come up with what the actual cost to the taxpayers was. By some accounts that's not even half of the damage.

Notwithstanding, the stupid farkers that are the New York electorate re-elected said asshat.

Whatta piker. Back in '99 the Corpus Christi school district had an administrator who charged over $5,000 at a strip club on his school card. And in a fit of pique, we also ran off our superintendent in the same sweep for having the gall to charge business dinners and car maintenance on his card.

We sure showed him. I hear he's now struggling to get by as the superintendent for the Houston ISD. That'll learn 'im.

As "punishment", he was allowed to keep the money, but he had to make a phone call once a month for 6 months; no charges were ever filed.

He was hired at $215,000/Yr. and his name was Abelardo Saavedra.

I remember back when all that was going on, I was working for a local public entity and one night was assigned to take a visiting group from Germany to dinner at the Republc of Texas. For 5 of us, we ran up a tab of around $400, which wasn't too bad, but with the spendthrift watchdog atmosphere at the time, it sure made me nervous.

i submitted this with a cliché headline.

it wasn't just the $350 dollars for a strip club. between him and his assistance there was some $200,000 dollars charged to the school district. this included extra pay. i live about 5 minutes from voorheesville. the school has a covered bridge between the bus parking lot and the school.

I am reminded of the time when we took an old
buddy out to a NJ go go bar for his batchelor
party. The bar was near our home town, and his
fiance was an English teacher in the jurisdiction
where the bar actually was.

One of the cuter dancers struck up a conversation
with us, and found out why we were there. When
we told her about the bride, she asked her name.
