I believe this deserves the dumbass tag, even though I don't believe in the war in Iraq.

Quite simply, will his death stop the war? Will it even start a dialogue to bring and end to the war? Has it brought favorable attention to the anti-Iraq-war sentiment? Has it even changed ONE PERSON'S MIND in relation to the war?

Ultimately, his demonstration has no effect, and is completely useless, meaningless and absurd.

If you have something to saym say it intelligently, and make a difference through being reasonable. Nutballs like this only detract from sanity.

who said anything about your pockets. the gubmint prints money, not you. the gubmint dispenses money, not you.

So those lines of tax deductions on my paystub are not indicative of "the gubmint" taking my money to give to other people?

a great question is, why is the gubmint dispensing the money, only to tkae it back???? the gubmint has/makes the money...so why are they taking yours???

yes i know this goes into economics, and i am oversimplifying the problem, but look at the very root in a simplistic manner, and it makes ya think WTF???

Dude, you need to stop rocking the ganja. You need a basic economics course. What happens if the Government just keeps printing more money? The money becomes completely worthless. See "Weimar Republic" for a textbook example.

Fine.

If you've served, I applaud you for that. But this is kinda a delicate topic, what with some guy killing himself over the Iraq War. Jokes aren't really applicable here.

you print your own money...last i checked, the federal gubmint was the only one to do that...so whos money is it really?

Read the Constitution sometime...covered.

it is the little green paper you are givin for your worth

because you do something(i.e. job) yes, you deserve more little pieces of paper for luxeries.

but a person has somekinda something about inalienable rights...and the society created her in this country dictates you have to have a certaIn amount of little green pieces of paper to eek out the most modest of existence

First off, the unalienable rights you speak of come from the Declaration of Independence. As stated there, those rights are endowed by the Creator (whomever you think created you), NOT by the government. Among those rights are life, liberty and the "pursuit of happiness." Those rights NOT guaranteed by anyone. Not by government...you have those at birth.

Secondly, nothing in the Constitution guarantees you anything other than the freedom to live your life. Your perspective absolves responsibility from the individual...placing the responsibility on the government.

Thirdly, the Bill of Rights guarantees certain freedoms (this was a big battle at the Constitutional Convention, why "grant rights" to that the People already have.) The Government is granted power, while the People have rights.

Finally, the more power you grant to the government, the fewer freedoms the People have. It doesn't matter what party is in control (Democrats or Republicans), they'll exploit that power and expand it.

Read a little history sometime. If you want the Founding Fathers perspective when writing the Constitution, try reading the Federalist Papers.

Secret Master of All Flatulence: What happens if the Government just keeps printing more money?

that is not at all what i am saying, i know about that.
what i am saying is the gubmint is not even close to being competent in managing money when they pass it out, then take it back (again, oversimplified)

if you have a gubmint, the populace is thier only concern.

if you really want to discuss this let me know. i will continue, but again with the oversipmlification, looking at it as "tribal" (micro, macro, whatever)

the point being the gubmint has a serious disconnect with thier responsibilties to the populace of thier society

Meh. He was just lazy, and didn't want to bother himself with actually doing anything constructive to solve what he saw as a problem, because that would require ACTUAL WORK. Instead, he takes the easy way by jotting down a note and offing himself.

He was obviously suicidal to begin with.

And he leaves wife and kids behind........good job, asshat.

I think his "statement" is really just a cover-up for his guilt for committing suicide, so he can feel okay with it.

Suicide is the easy way OUT. The committed individual sticks around to see the effects of their actions, and keeps pushing towards their goal. It's called persistence and constitution, and it's really the only way problems ever get solved.

User name, admitted drug use, wording your posts like Shaggy from Scooby Doo, lack of even a basic attempt at punctuation and capitalization, wanton misspellings, randomly capitalized letters in the middle of words, wild pontification about a system meant to keep the working man down, flights of introspective fancy (i.e., "have you ever stopped to think about mOney I mean really think about it???it maKes you go WTF????"), believing yourself to be privy to intellectual and philosophical truths out of reach of the ordinary man, encouraging your critics to expand their minds, etc.

If it walks, talks, looks, smells, thinks and shiats like a duck, it's probably a duck. If you're not a burnout, you're doing a fine job of portraying one on Fark.

You really, REALLY made it sound like Tatsuma believes that he speaks for all Jews.

Just because you want something to be true, doesn't necessarily mean it's true. He's come out several times and stated that he doesn't speak for all Jews. And even if he said he did, so what? I can say I'm farking Jewel Staite, that doesn't necessarily make it so.

You know how i picture your average American men, based on their comments in the threads...They're the drunk guys in the camper van in the Borat film. If you've seen it you'll know exactly what I mean. Sad, sad, misguided, misogynistic, racist clones of eachother.

Do you know how I picture the average Japanese national based on Anime and those weird game shows? Those sick, misguided, misogynistic, perverts should get a clue.

Your heart bleeds for humanity, I get it. But the sheer breathtaking sweep of your bias is unbelievable. You go into a Fark thread and treat the usual internet posting nonsense as the true character of an entire nation. Then you have the gall to take offense at the narrow portrait of Germany (yes, yes, I know, you aren't a German national) in the context of Nazi crimes.

The US hosts an amalgamation of websites to suit any viewpoint on earth. Fark is no more the bellwether of the entire nation then the Democratic Underground or the Free Republic.

Does it really escape your attention that your empty platitudes spring from the same well that produces "Glass Parking Lot" and "France Surrenders" comments? At least, I hope your rhetoric does not represent how you conduct yourself in real life. Coping with intense waves of pity every time you see an American must be rough.

Nope. Guns and ammo have real worth. They can be bartered regardless of the state of the economy. And the more anarchy there is, the higher their value goes. When you come right down to it, they also have real worth if they are used. If somebody is going to harm you, and you shoot them in the face a lot, the gun and ammo was literally worth your life.

Unfortunately Fark is becoming a lot like Yahoo message boards where people never really RTFA, but instead prefer to hurl insults at each other. Discussion and clever jokes have been replaced with personal attacks and lowest-common-denominator "jokes." I wish I knew why this is the case-- I really miss the Fark days of old.
