I had a dumbass friend that got himself killed by making bear noises in the woods at night, Darwin at work.

"Alcohol was involved in the incident, Snyder said."

Booze, firearms, and practical jokes... now there's a recipe for family fun.

"Alcohol was involved in the incident..."

Well thank you Captain Obvious.

Guns don't kill people drunk camping pranks involving guns do. (Almost)

2002-07-18 05:13:15 PM
Guns OR alcohol. Not both.

2002-07-18 05:13:22 PM

I've done some pretty stupid things while drunk, especially when I'm with a big 'ol group of my friends (and ho boy, we ARE drinkers). But the thought of scaring the crap out of one of my friends who was carrying a weapon never seemed like a good idea to me.

I've always said I'm not an alcoholic, I am a lush. Alcoholics lose jobs, cause their family pain, and get shot.

Lushes like me just like drinking.

2002-07-18 05:15:48 PM
"Alcohol was involved in the incident, Snyder said."

had alcohol not been involved the guy would be dead, so the only logical conclusion:

Beer saves lives.

2002-07-18 05:16:10 PM
Darwin with bad aim.
Did the news story need to state the obvious that "alcohol was involved" Isn't that assumed in a story like this.

2002-07-18 05:16:10 PM
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Damn I wish I could have been there to see that one! It just amazes me that most people don't understand the concept, "Don't startle a person who is in possesion of a loaded weapon."

2002-07-18 05:16:33 PM
lmfao!

what a bunch of rednecks!

2002-07-18 05:16:59 PM
yea i actualy knew a man who was in nyc and he jumped on the back of who he was sure was his wife. the woman shot him in the head twice and it turned out that she was a ho and she had just disobayed her "boss" and so she was expecting him to do somthing to her... but then again that was not his family that killed him

2002-07-18 05:17:21 PM
CANDYPANTS

Alcoholics have to go to meetings. Lushes like us don't.

2002-07-18 05:17:28 PM
Note to self...

2002-07-18 05:17:35 PM
one gunshot wound == dumbass accident

3 gunshot wounds == longstanding family grudge, and an un-vite to the family reunion

2002-07-18 05:18:42 PM
Why would you want to commit a practical joke on someone who HAS A FRIGGIN' GUN????

2002-07-18 05:18:57 PM
Several years from now at Christmas:

"Hey Fred, remember when you jumped out at me in the woods that time and I shot you? Wasn't that funny as hell? We should go camping again this summer. I've been taking lessons."

2002-07-18 05:19:34 PM
New Mexico sounds like fun.
The pilot of a stealth fighter who inadvertently dropped three 25-pound practice bombs in or near towns in rural West Texas and southern New Mexico was targeting trash bins and other structures in a "camera attack," the pilot's wing commander said Thursday.
"For us, this is not the way we do business, and we're very disappointed it happened," said Brig. Gen. Marc Rogers, commander of the 49th Fighter Wing at Holloman.

2002-07-18 05:19:59 PM
What they failed to mention was it was a police camping trip and when they heard the something in the bush's they (all 3 of them) dropped there guns and that is what hit the man..

2002-07-18 05:21:22 PM
I agree with Bps300 Fishing and hunting at 2:00AM in Artesia not very likely

2002-07-18 05:21:28 PM
I like Beer it makes me a jolly good fellow.

My names Frankeinstein and I am a card carryin' LUSH. Wee Ha

2002-07-18 05:21:42 PM
Last thing dumbass says before being shot 3x by unsuspecting relative? 'Hey, y'all, watch this!'

Is actually a redneck joke, but I think it applies here, too.

"Texas, figures..."

dumbshiat

2002-07-18 05:22:39 PM
My God, I can't believe they brought that gun along with them. They should've known that the gun would strike out, all by itself, and kill someone, unexpectedly of course.

2002-07-18 05:23:11 PM
This is just too funny. I know people very like this. As soon as enough alcohol has been consumed, out come the guns. It's usually someone's pickup that get it though.

2002-07-18 05:23:42 PM
Alcohal was in involved...they tried to hit the head, but got limbs due to loss of cordination....beer saves (agreed with Ninja_Jesus)

2002-07-18 05:26:11 PM
So they shot him three times before they realised it was a family member a not a bear.. Obviously very bright people

somebody wins a prize!

It's rednecks like this guy who give the rest of us responsible (sort-of) lushes a bad name. My fiance's family is from backwoods NC, and every time we go down, I can plan to spend at least one afternoon in the backyard drinkin' beers and shootin' guns. It would scare me to death if I didn't get so drunk to rid me of my anxiety...

2002-07-18 05:30:50 PM
"The shooting appears to be an accident, Snyder said."

Doesn't sound accidental. Wrong target, maybe, but he definitely meant to shoot someone.

2002-07-18 05:32:03 PM
Chawoni

poor guy...his wife looked like a ho...and then he gets shot by a real one.... WEIRD

2002-07-18 05:33:31 PM
Alcohol, guns and dumba$$es always make for good reading.
Too bad it wasn't fatal, that leaves him with an opportunity to keep breeding. Well, at least we can be guaranteed more funny articles in the future if he does![image from bartmcqueary.com too old to be available]
I am looking forward to more from the Garcia family!

"The advantage of being armed . . . the Americans possess over the people of all other nations . . . blah blah.... the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." (James Madison, author of the Bill of Rights, in his Federalist Paper No. 46.)

Hmm.... I wonder why.

2002-07-18 05:35:31 PM
Stupidity, guns, alchohol and Texas. What do you expect

2002-07-18 05:35:57 PM
Mark:

Mostly because firearms give the people ultimate power over their own destiny, something that most governments would rather keep to themselves.

2002-07-18 05:36:09 PM
shot 3 times and not wounded seriously!

if the scary thing in the bushes had been a real scary thing in the bushes they would all be scary thing in the bushes fecal matter now

2002-07-18 05:37:59 PM
...getting strange cravings for shots and beers...

2002-07-18 05:37:59 PM
Alcohol was involved in the incident, Snyder said.

So we go boom, boom, boom, and none of the injuries are fatal. Good thing it wasn't a real bad guy.

Darwin, where are you when we need you?

2002-07-18 05:38:36 PM
Jonesboy: i always thought it was knowledge that gives people the ultimate power over their own destiny.

2002-07-18 05:39:56 PM
of course if you hold up a McDonald's you'd have the ultimate power over your own density..

2002-07-18 05:40:25 PM
Jonesboy:

In such cases as this, maybe that's a good idea for the governments to keep it to themselves.

In fact - I'm positive it's a great idea.

I mean - there's a chance he could've missed the idiot and shot someone who was just taking a dump in the woods!

So, are you too lazy or too farking stupid to read the article?

2002-07-18 05:42:57 PM
gosh. Texans are soooooooo stupid.

2002-07-18 05:45:24 PM
They were on a fishing trip...
What the fark kinda fish were they after that they needed guns?! (hee hee!)

By the way did anyone happen to catch who said, he said, what said, the sheriff said?
Sorryj just noticing the the "said" overkill was all.

*goes back to reading FARK articles*
