I guess they really think you're crazy if you don't believe the government's conspiracy theories.

2006-11-11 01:55:25 PM
Weird. I just don't understand why the school is upset. Do they think he's going to go berserk because he visited sites that question authority?

2006-11-11 02:00:57 PM
The kid must be brought back to the flock at all costs. Here, drink this kool-aid. Shut up. Stop questioning.

The video clip on the page is great. Especially if you want to see Alex Jones REALLY go off.

2006-11-11 02:05:37 PM
So the kid's reading 9/11 conspiracy sites at school instead of doing his school assignments?

And the dad doesn't understand the problem with this?

Kid better learn how to bag fries properly in the next decade.

2006-11-11 02:06:07 PM
A good school would sit down with him and ask him what he thought of the information, explain to him the context of conspiracy theories about 9/11 and why many people just don't buy them, and give him resources to help him find out the truth, such as sites that debunk the "loose change" bullshiat and the like- but let him decide for himself.

If you manipulate a kid by censoring information, what conclusions do you imagine he will reach?

This will do far more harm than good.

Ummm...the psychiatric testing part...?

DarthBrooks: So the kid's reading 9/11 conspiracy sites at school instead of doing his school assignments?

How do you know what the kid's school assignment was?
I don't recall the article mentioning it.

standard operating procedure - school adminstrators say they want you to apply yourself and learn the material. But God help you if you if you should start thinking for yourself.

The kid seems very bright. I hope this incident doesn't screw him up. Poor kid might not know what to think.

Weaver95: But God help you if you if you should start thinking for yourself.

Uh oh. Two independent thought alarms in one day. The students are overstimulated. Willie! Remove all the colored chalk from the classrooms.

2006-11-11 03:19:48 PM
Din' I wa-r-r-rn ya? That coloured chalk was for-r-rged by Lucifer 'imself!

(...and if you freeze the CNN footage of the second tower falling you can clearly see the puffs of coloured chalk escaping from the windows at faster than freefall speeds. Coincidence? I think not!)

Why does the 9/11 Commission Report not explain how the collapses turned all the concrete in those 220 floors into micron fine colored chalk?

HowlingFrog: Why does the 9/11 Commission Report not explain how the collapses turned all the concrete in those 220 floors into micron fine colored chalk?

You mean that the 1.8 million tons of WTC debris in Fresh Kills Landfill is micron fine colored chalk?

Those are some damn big microns.

You DRTFA. He was hitting those sites during a time set aside for web surfing.

This is just another fear tactic used by gov't indoctrination centers to keep the herd in line.

This is what happens when you let the coloured chalk use the same storage box as the white chalk.

Yeah, at least one fourth.

So your experience is that local school administration is a well-oiled machine, populated with highly capable staff, able to carry out a national unified agenda? Neato!

The public education system values submission, not education.

The law enforcement structure values submission, not order.

The security apparatus of this country values submission, not security.

We really do live in 1984, with everyone doped up on Soma and staring at screens all day...

You know the Soviets liked to declare dissidents "insane" and force medication on them. (The irony being that you probably were insane to try to stand up as an individual to the Soviet system.) How different are we? Besides having Jesus on our side and all.

Where did I say that??? or imply it???

You have a very vivid imagination. I wonder what public schools would do with you today? or are you still there?

That was an unauthorized thought, citizen.

You know life is no longer bearable when you don't know which group of stupid, shortsighted paranoid farkers to trust. Pro-government, anti-government, it's all the same. You guys have your petty little flam wars. You hate each other. You bicker for hours, and where does that leave you? Devided, and angry, and weak. Paranoia is not cool. Get over it and find something productive to do. It's farking Childrens Week. Put aside your bickering and go raise money for Toys for Tots.

The very fact that you were able to say what you just said, and no harm will come to you, is pretty much proof that what you said is pure hyperbole.

after reading the few comments so far, I'm glad to see the rational side of everyone's thinking.

i hope nobody here really agrees with this school because then that would mean that the hundreds of thousands of visitors to this site should be next in line for even viewing any of the 9/11 flamewar threads here.

Right reality.

Nightjars: The very fact that you were able to say what you just said, and no harm will come to you, is pretty much proof that what you said is pure hyperbole.

Because our government isn't pulling citizens off the streets and extraditing them to Syria for torture completely removed from the judicial process. Go back to sleep, comrade.

Another example of a person who perceives themself to be an "authority" (assistant principal) mistaking their perceptions for fact.

Also, the kid who referred to the websites as "terrorist" deserves the talking to. But this is texas... what can one expect?

Soma was "Brave New World," not "1984."

FTFA: True free speech and any expression of alternate viewpoints is-- unofficially-- a threat to what schools have become.

I really don't think that every side deserves equal time. I really don't think that racists and such deserve time to make their views heard in public schools. The schools do have the responsiblity to see that what is taught is worthy of learning.

I really wish that we could have a full blown investigation into 9/11, but the whackjobs and their crackpot crap have pretty much killed that hope.

Scienceman123: Soma was "Brave New World," not "1984."

Yup, gotta love Mr. Huxley.

2006-11-11 04:22:27 PM
Oh yeah, almost forgot...

they "threatened" him with a psych eval? Oh, brother, talk about an empty threat (except to a little kid, who has no idea)... so they evaluate the kid and find that he's completely "healthy". Then what? Would they have the testicular fortitude to apologize? Or would they just find another threat? Given how they've acted so far I imagine that they are more interested in forcing the kid to be what they want him to be than giving him access to a quality education... but like I said, it's texas, what can one expect.

It's the batshiat crazy loons with the "The planes were really CGI special effects" theories that tarnish everything.

Nevermind. Enjoy your paranoia.

Nightjars most of the time those who are quiet enough do nto need to disappear, no one believes them. Otherwise there are those who are loud enough and you cannot simply make them disappear, it is best to allow them to continue on. Taking rash action against any sort of conspiracy or development would bring to light a much vaster conspiracy. Not that I really think there is something of that sort, the fact is, it is easier to control a mass of people who believe they are independent and have chosen this then rely on breaking the wills of far less people who feel directly threatened. Diffused guilt, responsibility, integrity of information sources, all of that.

And Darth Brooks not removed for the assignment, said that towards the beginning of the article, only for being on a site of questionable material, which is not a part of the school code and is subject to opinion entirely, the psychiatric evaluation is disturbing to allow, and there is time set aside for web surfing.

Four reasons for you to have read the article or to STFU and GBTW, htough that is meant in the most polite way possible it is most poignant as well.

The way that our justice system is dealing with "terrorist suspects" IS a problem. A major one at that. I'm just as disturbed about it as you are, probably.

But making comments beyond your ability to prove just makes you sound like a nutcase. If you stick to the facts, people will certainly pay more attention to what you have to say. Saying things like "We're living in 1984" is rediculious. I could say on this thread "i'm currently in the process of building a thermonuclear weapon", and nothing will come of it.

2006-11-11 04:24:26 PM
Actually, with the Democrats in control of Congress, they might actually have a prewar intelligence investigation about Iraq, and possibly a pre-9/11 intelligence investigation.

I love how he needs "psychological testing" just because he wasn't looking up frigging Pokemon during his free internet time. Oh wait.. he was running and making farting noises previously. Gee, a 10 y/o boy making farting noises! I better hurry up and get my two off to the shrink ASAP. They're gunna be terrists if I don't get them help soon.

This is wrong on so many levels. I applaud the kid for actually doing something constructive during his free time. I'd be proud of him if he were my son. I'm glad to see his father is being supportive and not just going along with "teacher knows best." Maybe that's because we're an Alex Jones type family though...

Step 1- Get all kids medicated.
Step 2- Teach them what you think they should know
Step 3- Zombie army for the next generation
Step 4- Freedom! Profit!

Kumana Wanalaia: . so they evaluate the kid and find that he's completely "healthy".

Yeah, right. Psychologists say that everyone is crazy. That's what they get paid for.

Nightjars: Saying things like "We're living in 1984" is rediculious.

Why is it ridiculous? We put kids in a completely irrational situation that their minds were never designed for - ie sitting in a classroom for 7 hours a day. Then, when they "misbehave," we fill them full of mind-altering drugs that make them sit and behave. We fill housewives' minds full of crap about their children getting molested by teh pedophiles, and then give them prescriptions for xanax and zoloft to keep them from drowning their kids in bathtubs to save them from the madness. We live in a Hell, a prison, a nightmare, and the worst part is it's such a big prison, so full of entertainment that most people don't even realize it exists.

2006-11-11 04:31:04 PM
czarangelus I am with you on the general description, but you're getting into a bit of a semantics war of sorts. While what you are saying is technically true, the problem is that it seems very cut and dry, everyone is in on the conspiracy, mind-control-device style discussion, it would have to be taken back a few notches, like saying we live in a prison. I and many other people feel the same problems you do, but don't feel confined by it, we need to alter it and make it work more properly, agreed?
