Yeah, look what happened when Milli Vanilli divorced their tape player

(The exceptions are Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, who was unattached when she won, and Frances McDormand.)

Soooo....not the crazy ones.

Don't 6 out of 9 actresses get divorced every year anyway?

(Or 2 out of 3, if you're into that whole division thing)

2006-11-01 08:12:23 PM
Of course, because men can't take it when their woman is more successful than they are.

Good thing the religious right has such a strong intolerance for gay marriage, considering over 50% of straight marriages end in divorce.

/no, it doesn't make sense
//that's why it's US law

Witherspoon, Swank, Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow and Helen Hunt.

Let's play name that spouse.

Witherspoon-Phillipe, a man whose name is only mentioned in conjuction with the word Oscar if someone says 'husband of Oscar winner' or 'My baloney has a first name. It's O-S-C-A-R.."
Swank-Rob Lowe's brother
Berry-That Guy who was in Glitter
Roberts-Some cameraman
Paltrow-Brad Pitt (Okay. Well, she's the exception, but she's clearly farked up as evidenced by how she names her children)
Hunt-The guy who played the dog walker on her sitcom that ended 8 years ago

Explaination, their chicks have talent, while they, sadly, stew in their own jealousy.

/Phillipe is still hot.

I like the Simpsons as much as the next girl, but you can't seriously think being the voice of animated characters can seriously compare to winning an Oscar.

Hank Azaria has plenty of good acting credits going for him. Much more then any Farker...

To say phillipe is nothing compared to his ex is just silly. After Crash he is now in Flags of our Fathers, and from what I've heard with the other movies he has recently made that will come out soon, his career should be getting even bigger.

The Simpsons has won about 15 or so Emmy Awards. I remember reading that his salary a few years ago was a hundred grand per episode. I'd say he's done enough that he's probably not jealous of Helen Hunt. Or anyone.

giaimie, are you sure that Gwyneth Paltrow was married to Brad Pitt? I know they were engaged, but I am pretty sure they've never been married.

Hank Azaria is much better on stage anyway. I saw him in Spamalot on Broadway. Amazing, hilarious actor. And I got his autograph :)

Hypnotoad:

"In the past 10 years, six of the nine Academy Award winners for best actress ended up splitting from the husbands or boyfriends they thanked on Oscar night:"

to quote the article.

and giamimie:

Julia Roberts was dating Benjamin Bratt when she won her award, she didn't marry the camera guy til the following year.

/sorry, gots 0 HTML skills

giaimie, Roberts actually dumped Benjamin Bratt, then dated (and is still w/) that cameraman. One thing we can all agree on is that she "loves [her] life" and has a horse-face.

I think Gwyneth Paltrow was with Ben Affleck when she won the Oscar, wasn't she? I thought they were dating during Shakespeare in Love, which is what she won for.
