T.O. would never do shiat like that. Surely if he had a history of it the Cowboys would have known this before they signed his sorry ass off waivers.

I'm not...

I remember my day's of acting like a douchebag back in my glory days in Pop Warner days. After the big championchip game my teammates lifting me on their shoulders in celebration of the amazing job I had done at being the teams designated douchebag. Indeed they all agreed that I was the best douchebag they had ever seen and my prowess at holding vinegary water in preperation for vaginal irrigation is talked about amoung coaches and scouts to this day.

Of course after a season of this I was glad when I could unclench. My team mates cheers still ring in my ears as if it were yesterday, that glorious yesterday as I doused the coach with liquid relief. Of course now everyone tries to emulate that moment with Gatorade but I was the original "douse the coach" visionary.

It was like the movie Rudy, except in this case the 12th man was the copious spray of douche water that catapulted from my tight end, a fantastic hydrotechnic display of Wishbone Light and Spicy Italian.

Sure I may not have left the field that year with any trophies. But indeed they were memories fit for bronzing.

Dear Cowboys,
I hope you're still enjoying last year's gift.
Love,
The Eagles

hmm, did *Little T* really learn what not to say?

Thank God the Chiefs saw better sense than to take him

2006-10-12 12:16:11 PM
Bwahahahahhahaha, you wanted him, now you got him!!

Too bad this had to happen so soon though, I had Week 8 in my "TO farks up the Cowboys" pool.

Still, this is friggin awesome.

Couldn't have happened to a better team.

Perfect.

Did anyone read the article? He didn't bash anyone. He said the team, including himself, need to play better. Bledsoe praised the guy in the article...

He's already biatching he's not getting the ball enough, he spent a good portion of the game on the sidelines barking at the O-Line and the Recieving coach. He's saying stuff like "Why am I here if I'm not going to be used?" The ball was thrown his way 11 times on Sunday, he dropped one because he heard the footsteps of Michael Lewis barreling down on him, the same guy who broke his shoulder 3 years ago, 2 were picked off, both Bledsoe's fault.

This is only the beginning, outbursts on the sideline on national TV is not the conduct of a good teammate. TO is a cancer and I seriously hope he kills the Cowboys.

onecanshort: Too bad this had to happen so soon though, I had Week 8 in my "TO farks up the Cowboys" pool.

After he showed up at the NBA finals in Miami wearing a Heat jersey, I put my money on preseason week 2. DIAF, TO.

TO aint the problem.

Bledsoe is the problem.

Whoever had Week 6 in the pool, come up and collect your money.

I still think he'll make it through the year with the Cowpigs. But next year? Forget it. They'll get rid of him somehow.

2006-10-12 03:20:09 PM
After RTFA, he doesn't really come off as anything other than frustrated that the Cowgirls are not doing better.

Don't like him...don't like Dallas....just trying to be objective here.

Bears vs. Broncos in Super Bowl. You heard it here first.

Listen, if I was going to spend $10 million a year for a receiver, I would want the one who wanted the ball every single down. I would want one who thought that the team's destiny hinged on him getting the ball, and he would get pissed that he didn't get the ball.

We're talking millions of dollars here, guys. In the stock market, would you invest $10 million in a company that didn't want to dominate the market it was in, that was happy just being middle-of-the-road? Likewise, would you invest $10 million in a player that said, "I'm happy with whatever I get, and if I don't do well, oh well, there's always next week."

Professional athletes should be bred like pit bulls... hungry, angry, and willing to do whatever it takes to win. They should have complete confidence in their abilities, even to the point of arrogance, because they are the best at what they do.

Like it or not, T.O. is a dominating wide receiver, and proved that in Phillie. Off the field he is a moron, but it certainly seems like he learned his lesson and is keeping him mouth shut. There is a point where arrogance and overconfidence of a single player can ruin and poison the entire team, and he did that last year.

All he said was that he wants the ball more and he believes he can make a difference and wants to win. That is what I would expect from a quality WR, not someone who is humble and quiet. Save that for high school or intramural football where sportsmanship matters. Here, millions upon millions of dollars are at stake and for that I would rather have a team full of pitbulls who want to win. As long as the arrogance and competitiveness doesn't poison the team, you would want everyone to feel that way to win. This is a business, not a friendly game of pickup.

2006-10-12 03:22:47 PM
It's unbearable to watch him prance around the sidelines yelling at his off. coordinator and teammates. The sad thing is that no one has the balls to look him in the eye and tell him to shut up...they all just look down at the ground and stay silent. At least that's what it looked like last week.

Udontknowme: Bears vs. Broncos in Super Bowl. You heard it here first.

Oh, please! 49ers vs. Raiders! Mark my words, both teams will make it in on wildcard and shock the sporting world!

RTFA
He didn't bash his team or teammates. He just voiced his frustration about 2 losses.

Being a longtime Cowboys fan, living in 49er territory, I have taken some ribbing about TO. A little bit of stone throwing from a glass houses. At least Bledsoe does not "walk like a rat". Suck it Jeff Garcia!

Dumb-Ass-Monkey: Mark my words, both teams will make it in on wildcard

I think both teams were eliminated about week 2. I've got a bottle of bourbon on the Raiders having a perfect season. I was worried last week but I am now confident I will win.

Let it be known that people trying to deny what T.O. is doing is what people did previous times he has done stuff like this. The worst part is that the media feeds off of T.O. and in return T.O. feeds off the media and gets louder and more annoying.

Right now its small and insignificant, and really shouldn't matter except for the fact that it is T.O. And since its T.O., I'd tell Dallas to prepare, but since I don't give 2 shiats about Dallas, have fun with it.

/Go Eagles

LOL... I hope TO and the COWBOYS stay together FOREVER...

He's the anchor that's going to keep the cowboys from ever reaching superbowl status, let alone wearing the rings.

//Screw Dallas.
//Go Redskins.

Like it or not, T.O. is a dominating wide receiver

You know, you can be a dominating wide receiver and not be a total asshat to your teammates, coaching staff, fans, and the entire organization making you rich beyond most people's wildest dreams.

Do you think people like Holt, Rice, and Harrison aren't or haven't been dominating because they lack a certain asshole quality you seem to feel is essential for being a wide receiver?

For that matter, why limit that trait to just receivers? Why are players at every other position excelling without being dipshiats?

Even forgetting all that, I'd point to the fact the traits you seem to think are so essential are well on their way to running him off his 4th NFL team. That's a pretty large sample size that points to T.O.'s asshatiness not being an essential or desirable trait.

2006-10-12 03:46:27 PM
"Dude, I am playmaker," he said. "These guys know that. It's simple. ... Get the ball in the playmaker's hands."

Dude, maybe you shouldn't have had THREE DROPPED PASSES against the Eagles then. Playmakers catch the ball more times than they drop it.

Why can't TO just die in a fire?

Shrugging Atlas

I never said T.O. wasn't an asshole. He's a stupid asshole who can't keep his mouth shut.

But every receiver worth his salt wants the ball. Those WRs that you mentioned wanted the ball just as much as T.O.. Rice, Holt, and even the most gentlemanly Harrison want the ball every single down, because they are the best, and they know what they can do with it. Remember when Rice's streak of getting a pass thrown to him was broken while with the Raiders? He was pissed, and rightfully so.

My point is that what T.O. wants is what every player wants. The RB wants a touch every down, and a receiver, be it TE or WR want the ball every down. Do you think Antonio Gates is happy playing blocker to the Rivers? Hell no. Just like Shockey was pissed when he had to block a lot for Eli the year before last.

T.O. is just being vocal, at least in this interview, but he wasn't a jerk about it, he was stating what is obvious... give the ball to your playmakers, and T.O. is a playmaker. He didn't say anything wrong, not yet anyway.

I, too, am counting the weeks before he screws up. I'm hoping that he doesn't and that he grew up a little after being thrown off of Phillie, but who knows.

"Be careful what you wish for" must be running on perma-loop in Bill Parcells' mind right about now. I don't like either TO or the Cowboys but I do like saying "Na-Na, told you so!"

It would be more appropriate for him to expire in a train wreck.

I hope TO gets three TD's this weekend, otherwise this will be his last start on my FF team.

2006-10-12 05:37:06 PM
god forbid TO to get angry at not receiving the ball while wide open due to bledsoe's terrible throwing! i mean if i was standing in the end zone wide open and he threw it directly to the pile of terrible eagles cbs 20 yards behind me i sure wouldn't be angry!

dipshiats

As a Texan's fan I really want T.O. to fly off the handle and screw up the entire team this week. After that I couldn't care less about him.

DO IT T.O.! Call Bledsoe a feyg! DO IT! You know you wanna.

So the next time Bledsoe throws a pass right in TO's hands and he drops it, can Drew start stomping around and act like a baby? Will everyone call Drew an intense, can't stand to lose guy then? You don't ever try and make your teammates look bad like he does. It's totally classless, and the fastest way to ruin team chemistry.

2006-10-12 07:11:11 PM
And no one's saying he doesn't have a right to be upset with his role in the team. I bet that Jerry Rice had more than one heated argument with a coordinator or coach or even one of his quarterbacks in his time -- behind the scenes. Did you ever see him stomp around losing his schiat on the sideline?

Owens (I refuse to refer to him as "TO") is wasting his talent because he's a child.

2006-10-12 07:19:56 PM
Take a chill pill, T.O.

Or even better yet, a handful.

2006-10-12 07:47:31 PM
T.O. will not catch balls that will put him in harm's way. It's that simple. He won't risk himself.

He may be a talented receiver, but he'll never be a good football player.

2006-10-12 07:53:53 PM
he could seymour, but since that will never happen, why bother thinking about it?
not the dropping part but the bledsoe passing accurately part.

Rascalian: Picking up blitzes is the problem.

Philadelphia has been using the avalanche since...Buddy Ryan?...certainly Aikman's first season. If you're Bledsoe, you gotta have a better plan than stand there looking around until they smack you.

Need better blocking too, but still...

T.O. *used* to be a dominating receiver. He hasn't dominated anything but the sports talk shows since 2004.

Daunte Culpepper used to be a dominating QB and he's riding the pine now. Even money says TO doesn't play 8 games this year.

That's been Bledsoe's plan for ten years.

My first thought was to cut him.

But it's obvious Parcells is using him as a decoy for Terry Glenn.

2006-10-13 11:37:51 AM
As much as I do not like the man.... he kind of has a point. Why pay all this money for a big name on a big fast guy and then not use him? Parcells is toying with us all...
