Just to be an asshole.

2006-10-10 05:03:44 PM
We're tired of the world and want it to be gone and over with. In other words, we're praying for nuclear war.

Rapture can't start until the world goes to shiat

2006-10-10 05:06:54 PM
It's either farked or my company is blocking access. Either way, I'll check this when I get home.

2006-10-10 05:09:01 PM
Farked.

Honestly, I can't think of any good reason. I can think of lots of good reasons to vote them out, however.

Unfortunately, I don't see any compelling reason to vote for the Dems, either.

So, who knows, maybe I'll write myself in.

2006-10-10 05:11:43 PM
Hmmm, The hardest part of this essay is where to begin.
Hmm, because I'm opposed to Separation of Church and State, or Because I'm rabbidly pro life? Maybe because I'm anti gay marriage? I want to squander billions of dollars on felony charges and incarceration for marijuana possession? I like overcrowded prisons?
There are just so many choices as to why I want a Republican leader......But none of these are the reasons.

We need better Republicans before I'll vote Republican again. It just doesn't mean what it used to.

2006-10-10 05:14:01 PM
Because I think the Republicans have access to the better porn. I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really think that.
Sorry, just couldn't make it closer to 100.

2006-10-10 05:15:28 PM
Republicans will protect me from gay marriage. Because if it's legal I'll be forced to marry a guy. Oh, and terror. They protect me from terror.

2006-10-10 05:15:59 PM
Vote Republican: We haven't legislated every aspect of your personal life yet

2006-10-10 05:17:01 PM
Because I'm in favor of smaller government, limited spending, balanced budgets, and deficit reduction! Wait, what?

2006-10-10 05:17:17 PM
Reasons to vote Republican:

1) It's not gay if you have an (R) after your name.
2) For 100K I can have all the Congressional Pages I want.
3) I enjoy voting against my own economic interests.
4) James Dobson owns my ass.

Vote Republican in 2006.

Reasons to vote for the GOP:

fear fear terror terror 9/11 terror fear 9/11 terror fear fear fear 9/11 terror terror terror al-qaeda fear fear fear terror 9/11 and 9/11.

(and something about spending a gazillion dollars on a failed war over non-existent WMDs from a dictator with no ties to Al Qaeda or 9/11 or terror......but I wasn't paying attention because I was afraid of the terrorists, terror terror terror, al qaeda, 9/11, terror terror, fear fear fear etc....)

Priceless.

Wow, dude. Call me when the William F. Buckley/George Will side of the party shows up. Until then I'm voting in the opposition.

EIther its farked or they are blocking access; surprise, surprise.

As usual, republicans are afraid of open exchange.

My entry was going to be:

Because if and when I am arrested for committing lascivious acts with an underaged teenage boy, I want the Republican controlled congress to swoop in, decrying (and even physically threatening) "activist" judges, and retroactively changing the law to protect me.

Because that seems to be all the GOP is about nowadays.

NewportBarGuy: Wow, dude. Call me when the William F. Buckley/George Will side of the party shows up. Until then I'm voting in the opposition.

I think that's why Harold Ford, Jr. is going to take the Tennessee Senate seat (also he's conservative and religious) -- Tennessee electing a Democrat to Senate will send a strong message to the Republican party that they seriously need to clean up their act.

And also because the Republican candidate, Bob Corker, is reprehensible.

And by the way... holy crap, some of these responses are terrifying. "I don't want to have to explain to my daughter why she has to wear a veil in public and cannot go to college" -- these people aren't just brainwashed, they're flat-out delusional.

Blocked. Just as I thought. Only interested in the echo chamber.

How typical.

No offense, but the left also argues in hyperbole and slippery slope.

Everyone who is really partisan, one way or the other, is really the same animal, just for a different side.

2006-10-10 05:34:44 PM

And finally, the number one reason to vote in the Democrats...

Chimpeach!

That word always makes me grin...

I've seen him on C-Span and some of the Sunday talk shows. He comes across as very bright and dedicated to serving his constituency. I'd vote for him as well.

"Because I want a government devoted to victory in war, low taxes and strong economics, liberty at home and strength in peace."

Uhhhhhh... so does everyone?

Holy farkmonkeys!!

Well, obviously *you* don't you America hating, commie, terrorist loving bastard.

Otherwise you would understand the simple principal that Questions Are Unpatriotic.

Hmm, seems that guy was trying to make a funny, I don't get it. I thought he was serious.

2006-10-10 05:40:36 PM
if you want those who would kill americans and innocent civilians here and abroad fought with the full strength and fury america can muster,
if you want our troops abroad to be supported by a congress that actually believes in their missions,
if you want to see continued economic growth, a further reduced deficit, current low taxes and reduced regulation -
vote republican.

So, do you have to be retarded to join RedState? Do they require a IQ test to prove you score under 100?

Or perhaps they have not heard that Gen. Schoomaker asked for $130 Billion dollars and Rumsfeld offered him $83 billion?

Farking deluded asshats.

2006-10-10 05:41:07 PM
tarrant84: Uhhhhhh... so does everyone?

That's what I was talking about before. Sure, Democrats use the slippery slope argument all the time (see: "fascism in the US") but I think that most Democrats -- even the pundits -- don't actually believe that the Republicans hate America and want it to fail. I think that probably most Republicans don't believe that the Democrats want that either (for example, my parents.. hardcore Conservative Christians), but there is a very vocal contingent of Republicans that truly believe that Democrats want America to lose and Islam to take over the world. They're the same ones that honestly believe that liberals giggle with glee when our troops die.

Hmm, seems that guy was trying to make a funny, I don't get it. I thought he was serious.

Well, except there are many republicans who feel exactly that way about congressional oversight.

Unfortunately, there's at least two of them on the SCOTUS.

tarrant84: Everyone who is really partisan, one way or the other, is really the same animal, just for a different side.

Amen to that.

The Evangelical Fundamentalists are a lot closer to the Radical Imams than perhaps they'd like to admit--all extremes are more or less equal.

What's fun is to rephrase either side's speeches slightly--changing the characteristic turns of phrase to their equivalents, and the references of one side to the other--and then seeing if anyone recognizes the source of 'em.

- support President Bush in matters of defense and national security, not undermine him through hearings and subpoenas

Goddamn right! Why should we ever expect our Dear Leader to follow the rule of law? He is our Lord and savior and must be treated as such.

I've got to stop reading this bile. I'm going to hurl.

Because taxing the inheritance on multi-million dollar family trusts is bad; cutting off health insurance on children is good. Because it's unacceptable to think. Because you're better off now than you were in 2000. Because of the sacrifices CEO's have had to make to support the war. Because private jet sales are at their highest level ever. Because the US personal savings rate is NEGATIVE for the first time since 1933. Because allowing consensual relationships between adults is bad. Because secret relationships with teenage subordinates is good. Because helping the oppressed and poor is bad. Because Faith-Based(tm) social programs have had such good ethical standards.

Because a Democratic congress won't allow the final steps needed to convert this country from Republic to Empire.

/all hail Ceasar Bush

2006-10-10 06:55:55 PM
Both sides are crooks and liars.

At least keep the republicans in office. That way we can see what they are doing, rather than hearing about it years later when one already got elected and goes to war with someone.

There's a new user link near the login in the upper right hand corner of the site. You have to provide an e-mail at the very least before you post.

But I think there may be a delay in when you can post messages after you sign up though. :/

Yep, that one made me spew a little Mountain Dew. Whatever you do, people, don't vote Democrat or we'll unshin!
