I guess you are familiar with the event and knew that a lot of food gets wasted because of a selfish desire to oppress the world by floating around in pumpkins.. Wait, what? You're not?
Well, they scoop out the insides of the pumpkins and make A LOT of pies. The seeds also get roasted and salted.

I've done this. Actually, 2 weeks ago I came in 3rd place in my pumpkin boat. the trick is that you need the lightest possible boat that will still float your body weight. mine was 715 pounds.
