"Having a long association with neoconservatives, Rice cares nothing for the United States."

The "I'm more conservative than thou" crowd is breaking through.

pro-affirmative action (how she acquired her job)

Oh snap.

2006-10-04 02:18:43 PM
First they cast her as a liberal.

.

Wait what? O.o;

[ Slang term for a person of African-American origin, used by certain folk in the 'hip-hop' community ] please!

Would that be the appropriate expression of incredulity?

I fail to see the Foley connection.

img.fark.com This link has nothing to do with Foley.

I rarely post. But this... this... this just takes the cake. This is so silly, it makes me want to laugh while I sit here in class.

Bushes Mexican nephew Ehhh?

I fail to see the Foley connection.

Got a chuckle out of me.
Are the proverbial wheels coming off the bus? I doubt it. But they have been damaged.

wtf?

2006-10-04 06:21:38 PM
It's so cute when they begin to eat their own.

Oh hell no! These "real conservatives" have done too little too late. Now that their party is threatening to lose power, we get the "principled" ones back. I used to be one of these until I realize that I have no voice in the Republican party.

We're not falling for it. You had your chance to take your party back, but you did nothing. You didn't speak up, you didn't call for resignations, you didn't vote out incumbents in primaries, you didn't find any other option.

You all rode the neocon wave in like it was going out of style. Enamored with the Cult of Bush, you got your war in Iraq, your tax cuts, your erosion of civil liberties, your "family values". You had your chance and you blew it.

Dance with the one that brought ya.

2006-10-04 06:27:16 PM
Wow. They're actually calling for someone "formerly" involved in the oil industry to resign.

2006-10-04 06:30:59 PM
Wow. Just...wow. That is one of the most beautifully insane diatribes I've ever read. And people accuse LIBERALS of being part of the tin foil hat crowd.

I think Condi is spectacularly incompetent and embarassing (like most of this administration), but I've seen nothing to suggest she wants to give the southwest U.S. back to Mexico.

Comedy GOLD, Jerry.

Holy hell. Well, that was 10 pounds of stupid in a 5 pound bag.

2006-10-04 06:39:54 PM
I wonder how this author feels about Cheney and Rumsfeld?

2006-10-04 06:46:26 PM
i just think it's kinda interesting that he's gotta make her into a liberal before he can express distaste for her.

it's not like the rest of it wasn't simpleminded as hell, but that's kinda a capper.

2006-10-04 06:46:28 PM
That's racist!
(obligatory)

I find the lack of floor-humping disturbing.

heap

Seems to be part of the plan to turn a Republican into a Liberal before attacking them. First FOX with it's "D-FL" goodfact label for Foley, now this kind of slop...

1)Make it look like your target is "the enemy"
2)?????
3)Profit!

2006-10-04 06:54:21 PM
I think we need more Foley threads.

Philogogus: Bushes Mexican nephew Ehhh?

That would be George P. Bush, whose mother his hispanic.

2006-10-04 07:02:40 PM
So how long until we see people saying that because she is African American she must really be a democrat, thus the failure in Iraq is the fault of the democrats.

2006-10-04 07:15:06 PM
No, last thing we want is a Secretary of State who is an "internationalist." Nope, that wouldn't be a good idea. It isn't like the WHOLE FREAKING JOB IS INTERNATIONAL or anything.

2006-10-04 07:36:35 PM
My sarcasm sense is off the meter.

tankdquinn

In this context an "internationalist" would be someone who is willing to cede parts or all of national sovereignty to a unified world government or to other nations. Amongst the far right, they consider the UN, Nafta, WIPO, etc. to be an infringement upon US sovereignty. A lot of the ideas of internationalism actually grew out of Marx's work and is viewed suspiciously by those in the right as an extension of communism.

The term really has nothing to do with people working on international issues, it has a specific meaning in the context of a certain political movement. Just as neo-con, or facist, or rockefeller republican identifies sets and subsets within political movements and entities.

Good for these folks for finally catching on. I'm not going to make fun of them for this.

The administration didn't make terrorism a priority despite being warned several times, we were attacked on their watch, and they covered their asses afterward then used the attack and more lies to lead us into a pointless war.

2006-10-04 09:39:59 PM
This is a whole basket full of crazy talk.

2006-10-04 09:55:05 PM
Whoa.
That was...um...unpossibly incoherent.

2006-10-04 11:13:01 PM
So, their argument now is that she's some kind of "whitey-hatin' coon"?
Here's their real plan: dump everyone in the Bush administration except for Cheney and Rumsfeld and when it all goes kablooey they will be the "government". They already are.

Yep, that's old school conservatism for ya - when it doubt, blame the woman or the black. Since Condi is both just makes it easy for the neo-dolts.

I realize that I have no voice in the Republican party.

Unless you're a major corporation, a PAC or a union, odds are you have no voice in either party.
