Was it this lady?

Personally, I don't think she deserved a tip.

2006-09-19 11:09:13 AM
Is it just me, or is there something hawt about a stripper who would accept a severed human hand in exchange for dry humping someone to climax?

/dates the wrong kind of girls

I remember the original story. Definately levels of weird there.

2006-09-19 11:15:48 AM

Probably the only way he'd get a hand in there.

she only accepted the hand because one of hers was eaten by a crockodile.

Kay, a dancer for Hott 22, an all-nude juice bar in Union
::shudder::
Some quickly tell me what a nude juice bar really is cause my current visual is somewhat disturbing.

How did he manage to get the hand out of the cadaver lab? I mean, I wonder why no one noticed...That is just overly freaky.

2nd degree theft, eh?

So what exactly were they going to do with that hand that they didn't have an alternate for?

People are weird about remains anymore... Evidently in the 1940's you could buy human skulls in medical school (campus bookstore? I dunno...) I know this because my ex has a human skull that she got from her dad amongst her collection of various skulls on top of her bookcase.

Yes, my ex had a skull collection... No wonder we got along. But no, she was not a stripper, just built like one. No "Hand of Glory" material either.

So how many Farkers practice "reverse taxidermy" in the form of collecting bones, particularly skulls? Makes for interesting conversation pieces...

2006-09-19 12:13:36 PM
So let me get this right 1 hand from a dead person: bad, jail time for you. 6 skulls, just fine carry on.

So now I gotta know a girl who is into wacky shiat like that has gotta be a firecracker in bed right?

A good friend of mine was a stripper for several years.

One night, a McDonald's manager tipped her with about $50 worth of free food coupons instead of the normal $1 to $5 tip.

Being penniless college students at the time, we rather appreciated the free grub.

2006-09-19 12:21:14 PM
I'm not sure which is funnier, so help me decide:

1. "University of Medicine and Dentistry";
or
2. "The skulls are not part of the charges."

/shakes head at both

Ah, surely the old hand in the jar / medical student thing is just a myth?

cowsspinach - Good luck with medical school. It's all worth it in the end (long hours, endless responsibility, awful bosses etc etc) ;-)

I'm kidding. Keep it up. And read House of God and Bodies.

Behold the power of boobies... A (rather spectacularly endowed) friend has told me of close scrapes with authority and unasked for benefits. I pointed out that it was her boobs what made it happen. "And your point?" well, ok, I didn't have a comeback for that.

The "improper disposal of remains" charge just seems like they're pissed off and just want to throw the book at somebody. The hand wasn't meant to be disposed of; it was preserved in formaldehyde. How many body parts are preserved in formaldehyde around the country?

They'd have a field day at Loma Linda University. The campus has a little-publicized (and not open to the general public) "genetic defects museum" that would make the "Hills Have Eyes" people envious. Hundreds of weird babies with hideous defects that fortunately didn't survive to live a life of misery, preserved in formaldehyde for "educational" purposes. They also have skeletons of a giant and some dwarves, etc. I went on a field trip there while in JC biology class. It's like a walk-through of one of those "gruesome photos" websites.

If dead bodies/parts (aside from usable donor organs) are so worthless that all we do is either burn or bury them, why is preserving a body part a crime?

Must be the same mentality that fashions laws that make certain plants and fungi illegal.

Just found the link...

Shryock Embryology Museum

Apparently it IS open (by appointment) for those so inclined.

If you want to see actual preserved bodies (not wax or other fake stuff), go to The Bodies Exhibition.

I've been there, and it's actually not so disgusting, but more fascinating to see the REAL parts of your own body.

/Cost me like $20-25 though
//But worth it IMO

Well, I'm with you up until the point of "Adding to a stripper's personal collection...." :)

The Red Cross has a few gallons of me so far, and I have no problem with the living making what use they can of me, so long as I'm dead before they dive in. Got the donor mark on my driver's licence to say as much.

(hint: the liver might not be very useful.)

If this stripper gives you a lap dance, make sure all of your "parts" are still there when she is done.

2006-09-19 01:10:34 PM
In addition, many of the exhibits at The Bodies Exhibition are not in a jar or in a glass container, but out in the open. Of course, you are not to touch them, but you can get a real close glimpse of different parts of the body.

Some of the smaller parts (organs, etc.) and the veins/arteries were kept in a glass container or in a jar with liquid in them (don't know if it's formaldehyde since they use a unique way of taking out the veins from the body, and it's preserved as is).

They had a reproduction section, and in that section they had a smaller section with the babies. In the entrance, theres a sign that says "You can skip this section and go to the next section, since some of the exhibits are pretty graphic".

Within the baby section, they had few exhibits with babies with defects, but what I thought that was fascinating was that they had a series of exhibits on babies with different stages while they were still in the womb. Like, month 1-2, month 2-3, etc., and they were all real too. But yeah, the baby section were a little graphic.

incidentally, I saw something awhile back about a med school prof who got busted for using- I still don't see the big deal- an amputated foot as bait in his crab trap. Trap broke open, foot washed up onto shore, was traced back... hilarity ensued, naturally.

I actually worked at this club and quit the week before this happened. The girl pictured looks nothing like the dancer known to have been arrested.... but then again stage makeup and black lights do wonders. Not to mention 2 hours of crying in a holding cell at 1am in the morning isn't very good for your complexion.

She is actually one of the more popular girls at the club... very cool tattoos and a dry wit. I bet she's making a killing off of this controversy.

/Thinking it might be time to go back to Hott22 and see how much $$ those perverts have.

I hate to say it, but this is a victimless crime. The penalties the perpetrators face are absolutely ridiculous. Sure, it's disgusting, but I'm sure the victim could care less.
