Well I don't really know if 3 yrs is necessary punishment for what this kid did. He certainly needs help and some counseling, but jail time? The kids probably embarrassed as hell about him himself.

Besides nowhere does it mention anything about him trying to operate a motor vehicle. I'm happier that he didn't try to drive with such a high BAC and kill a shiAt-load of people in the process.

Nah, I'd say just let him off, with some counseling for alcohol. We've all done some pretty dumb things when we were younger. I am amazed that this kid had a .26% BAC and was still able to walk at all.

I have a kind of similar story -- a drunk guy was sleeping in a chair next to my bed when I woke up one time; I had never seen him before or anything. I mean it. He said, upon getting woken up (put nicely), that he was there to pick up the extra cement, and he was holding up a dollar. No joke. After that, I never forgot to check for locked doors.

3 years of prison for wandering into someone’s house? The same thing happened to a friend of mine not that long ago, he was taking a leak of the back porch, walked back inside the wrong_house, went upstairs, and slept in some peoples bed with _someone_ in the bed. The people busted him after he went down stairs to get something to eat. The lady (old) had to go back up stairs to her room to get his shoes to throw him out. No charges were pressed.
