The way the law is written, when you get your driver license you are pre-consenting to two searches in exchange for the "privelege" of driving:

1) Search of your body for bloo-alcohol level
2) Search of your car at anti-DD checkpoints.

That gets them around the Fourth Amendment, by calling driving a "privelege" rather than a right, and pre-conditioning these two forms of searches with that granted privelege.

Jeez... Getting kids or someone else to blow into this breath thing for you? Just drive around with a bunch of balloons in yer car that you inflated earlier in the day.

- Whatsh the problem, oshiffer?

- Sir, why do you have a car full of inflated ballons?

- Ohhh... That. I jusht went to a birthday party.

I also like the idea of just leaving the damn car running.

Man, getting drunk is a journey, not a destination.

So if I get in my car drunk and manage to enter the pin, Nissan will be liable for certifying me OK to drive right?
