ok, I hate YouTube, but damnit, I needed a little 80s nostalgia.

I used to sit up late every Friday night to listen to "Metal Shop" on the radio. Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, Dokken, Accept, etc, awesome.

thanks.

Apologize? For what? It's still better than 90% of the shiat they show on MTV today.

Not so much the music (Stay Hungry was a great disk), but for the 7 foot tall transexuals from hell.

For some reason, I seem to recall seeing Flounder squirt Neidermeyer with a seltzer bottle at the end of this video. Maybe it's a different Twisted Sister vid...

Is the father Gary Busey?

Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (pops) is really worth a viewing if you have any sort of interest in this music style.

Features a great interview with Dee Snyder, and interesting arguments that dressing up like drag queens and wearing makeup was the "ultimate statement of secure masculinity," or something along those lines.

/back to my trite, jaded, boring job

Detour: Is the father Gary Busey?

Hang your head in shame. The whole rant at the start of the video is much funnier if you know who the character is.

There were some names mentioned up the thread that you might want to google.

Did any one catch the lyrics at the very end of the video that references the father's scenes in "Animal House".

Anyone still own their SMFFOTS card? Think I lost mine. Still have the t-shirt tho. Wore it when I saw them a few years ago in CT (as they tried to regroup).

First time I saw them was on Halloween in Westchester NY in the early 80s. We were all in costume. They were in jeans and sans makeup. Said since they dressed up 364 days a year they were taking a day off.
