These guys are obviously in it for attention and publicity and not for any real demands. Any good kidnapper knows to make demands that are possible and have a chance at going through. They don't have to be reasonable, but demands like these are ridiculous.

2006-08-23 09:53:16 PM
werent their demands to release all muslim prisoners in the US? for two guys? i thought arabs invented algebra.

2006-08-23 09:53:39 PM
Im surprised, with fox sleeping with the gov't you'd think they send in some tactical nuke to rescue the journalists.

2006-08-23 09:53:57 PM
In other news, I blame Clinton.

2006-08-23 09:54:43 PM
Fox News.
We Report.
You Abduct.

2006-08-23 09:55:06 PM
Irony tag for the link being Fox?

2006-08-23 09:55:15 PM
flavor

The kidnappers probably think Al'Gebra was a zionist.

2006-08-23 09:56:24 PM
why isnt there a FOX NEWS tag?

2006-08-23 09:56:38 PM
take that terrorists

2006-08-23 09:56:57 PM
They release the Fox news guys and give them to us. We release all the murderers and rapists and the chronically violent and send them over there. So what's the problem?

2006-08-23 09:57:53 PM
shouldn't that be the obvious tag? Not negotiating with terrorists IS US policy, even if they are FOx news reporters.

2006-08-23 09:57:53 PM
omg like the war is real?

2006-08-23 09:58:12 PM
Why is it necessary to 'reject', why not just say nothing? If I was kidnapped, I would much prefer you just ignore me rather than step up to the camera and REJECT my captors.

2006-08-23 09:58:21 PM
I've gotta say, good for the State Dept.

It's a terrible, terrible thing that's happened to those two journalists, but you simply cannot give in to any sort of blackmail like that.

Of course, the unstated subtext is, "One of you is worth ten thousand of us," but I'm sure the kidnappers haven't realized that little bit o' math in their demand.

2006-08-23 09:58:25 PM
Does anyone really care about abducted journalists?

2006-08-23 09:58:41 PM
flavor of the month

I think you're being unfair to the unbalanced.

2006-08-23 09:58:44 PM
That should be an Obvious tag

2006-08-23 09:59:36 PM
the mention that they were from Fox News makes a difference?

2006-08-23 09:59:42 PM
Oh noes! Teh terrurists pwned teh right-wing propagandists farktoids.

Didn't RTFA, but I'm guessing they demanded Fox news to be actually Fair and Balanced?

"Fox News journalist" Contradiction in terms?

2006-08-23 10:03:37 PM
The best thing about Fox News is how they upset the MoveOn/Michael Moore bedwetters so much.

2006-08-23 10:03:56 PM
stay tuned for next week's episode of "Republican's Eating Their Own!"

if they were actual Journalists i'd be upest about their captivity but they work for Fox they helped Bush lie us into this war.

Heathen

Word is that the Palestinians are PO'd at them, too. I don't know if it's for kidnapping journalists in general or their failure to do so in a way that benefits Palestine, though.

Of course, the unstated subtext is, "One of you is worth ten thousand of us," but I'm sure the kidnappers haven't realized that little bit o' math in their demand.

Heh, hadn't thought of it that way before. Regardless, I hope those guys come home okay.

2006-08-23 10:04:20 PM
.......actually the damands werent bad....they ask for the release of all muslum prisoners in the US

2006-08-23 10:06:21 PM
"Fox News journalist" Contradiction in terms?"

Oxymoran?

2006-08-23 10:07:25 PM
fox news not diapointed at the news because they can always find more uber right-wing fear mongers to report for them

2006-08-23 10:07:31 PM
the state department is all liberals, folks. true, we got condi over there, but most of the state department has no problem letting the fox reporters sweat it out for a few more weeks. more so, than say, a NYTimes reporter.

2006-08-23 10:08:41 PM
i wouldn't be surprised if the journalists are just hiding out somewhere making up all this bullshiat to generate ratings for fox news.

with islamic propaganda on one side and fox news on the other, anything is believable or laughable.

2006-08-23 10:08:53 PM
No kidding? Gee, didn't see that coming or anything.

Move along....nothing to see here.

2006-08-23 10:09:17 PM
The only two Fox journalists not covering the Karr story.

2006-08-23 10:10:09 PM
It's not so much about FOX News politics. They are simply callous and cutthroat as an organization (I know: I was "in the biz", bailed out of that nonesense yet am still tangentially attached via The Big U.). Anyhow, don't thnink for a moment that FOX is going to do anything spectacular for these guys. But watch them reap the "cumes" if worse comes to worse.

2006-08-23 10:10:26 PM
I'm sure nobody saw this coming.

2006-08-23 10:10:29 PM
This makes absolutely no sense at all. The 'terrorists' know full well the US won't give in and negotiate for some journalists, but they make it huge news with videos and the whole thing. At a time when Palestine needs support more than ever, they're going to kidnap some Americans and start making demands? They must know it's going to cause a wave of anger towards Palestine. Call me a tinfoil-hatter if you must, but this doesn't seem like a likely move.

2006-08-23 10:11:00 PM
shit sux.
ill be glad in 50 years when all the arabs nuke themselves to death.

2006-08-23 10:11:18 PM
I think the State Department is wrong. We should release all Muslim prisoners in the U.S. and send them over seas. The annual savings would be tremendous. Let the terrorists deal with our prisoners. In fact, my guess is that the American ex-cons would end up taking over the entire region. I also think most of Hamas would punk out being the little biatches that they are.

2006-08-23 10:11:31 PM
"Say "Faux" you get cockpunched you pseudointellectual liberal douchebags."

oooo someone hurt by the truth there? come on fox news is not know for integrity

gluedtomychair:
Does anyone really care about abducted journalists?

Yeah, really, sorta like caring about abducted lawyers!

2006-08-23 10:12:19 PM
I have a better idea. Let's exchange them for all the Fox News hater in this thread.

Or just start trotting out Moslem prisoners a dozen at the time and execute them live on Al Jazeera until our people are freed.

I favor the latter personally....

Fox News - Fairly Unbalanced

2006-08-23 10:13:11 PM
Seriously, the fox news ribbing is pretty distasteful in this circumstance. Sure, fox sucks and such, but come on.

2006-08-23 10:13:21 PM
the only time i watch fox news is when i think there might be a war somewhere and i want details......trust me...if anyone is gonna know about 2 dudes shooting at each other....fox will

and they will use it to scare you

2006-08-23 10:14:08 PM
BREAKING NEWS: U.S. does not negotiate with terrorists, more at 11.

2006-08-23 10:14:34 PM
hey they knew the hazards of the job of reporting there.....sorry it happened but they knew it could

2006-08-23 10:15:16 PM
So this is what hatred looks like...

How sad that some 'Americans' (I'll use that term loosely) in our nation have resorted to:

"Since these guys work for a particular news station I disagree with and historically are biased towards my opposite political views then all employees are my enemies". These guys (I'm guessing) have families and they're Americans. Show some respect moran.

I only pray you trolls are just that, trolls.

2006-08-23 10:15:18 PM
Disposable accesories employed by a biased news source that have been deemed expendable by the country that brought them there.
\They are only "Americans citizens" anyway.
\\Ameica's shining grace, has got just a little dimmer today!
