The lesson I learned from the whole Jon Benet story was "if you're weird, don't get accused of a crime." I watched the poor mother get interviewed, and her mannerisms and facial expressions were so strange it seemed really likely she was involved. But after losing a daughter, that's not surprising.

They said yesterday that he mentioned specifics about the crime that only someone involved would have known. So they are sure he is not one of those wierd people who try to admit to crimes they didn't commit.

The statement in the article is just creeping me out to no end. I will spend the rest of the day mulling over my opposition to the death penalty because I want to kill this guy myself. He will probably meet the same end as Jeffrey Dalmer did in prison though.

There are still a lot of unanswered questions about this case. And apologizing to the father at this point might not yet be justified.

For one thing he says that he fell in love with the girl, which is a normal enough delusion for people like that, but he hasn't said where and how he met her and what his connection to her parents was. A six-year-old doesn't got to too many places alone. So unless he 'fell in love' while sitting in the audience of one her pedo-pagants there probably is more to the story. Also he claims that the crime took place in the basement which not only gives us more questions but also makes us wonder why he is charged with kidnapping if they believe him (Isn't there a different name for holding someone prisoner against there will that doesn't involve kidnapping per-se.)

If he really did it and was actually smart about it now he would claim that the parents where in on it to lessen his guilt. There must be tons of people ready to believe him.

Sure. So how did he know about Jon Benet? Oh - I don't know. Her mom whored her pictures out through every pagent office between here and bumfark. The guy could have been one of these people who frequented kiddy pagent shows. One thing that made no farking sense at the beginning of all this - why didn't someone case the pagent circuit to see who was watching, collecting up the pics, making videos? Admittedly this was before the internet got as large as it is - but that's where I would look. The kid is a public item - she appears all over the United States with little kids dressed up like adults - half naked adults. You know - I wonder how many of those pagent videos are for sale on the net, or in the circuit, and how many of those videos had Jon Benet in them? The guy could have been stalking her from Alabama - no farking problem. I remember reading somewhere that one of the ways serial killers get busted is because they rack up 100k miles on a car in one year, and rarely go to the same place twice. Cops get a lead, they find the car, they can work backwards - most especially if it's a lease. if the cops have been working on this for a while - at least before Patsy died - you betcha they have all the info they need.

GOD I hope that family sues the living shiat out of the Boulder police!
