Gimme American football and basketball any day of the week over this "everybody stand around while this one guy throws a ball at this other guy" game of boredom. Hell, I even actually watched half the World Cup games of the second and third rounds, at 11:30PM, when I had work the next day. And I don't even like soccer that much! Yet I haven't watched one single baseball game of the hundreds that have been played so far this season.

Lets make another test. Sit down, and watch someone swinging at those balls for 5 hours. Also, have two or three other people join you. But make it so you cant see the other people, and the guy swinging the bat only dows so once every 5 minutes. Then see how you like it.

How can anyone be dissing on physics or baseball? Baseball is an amazing game, not that soccer or other sports aren't. And physics, as all sciences do, affect us in our everyday lives.

I find it hard to believe that more Farkers don't like baseball. It's all about strategy. The conspiring between a pitcher and catcher on how best to deal with the guy at the plate. The jobs of the fielders to best determine where the guy's gonna hit the ball so they can get their play off. The job of the batter to try guessing pitches and hit them well enough so that they aren't fielded quickly enough (or at all). Then there's the workings of the coaches on when to substitute players, determine when to steal a base, bring in a new pitcher, etc.

Baseball is mostly strategy and statistics, very much a mind game.
