Thankfully, the TSA understands that 12-year-olds are harmless, and is concentrating on the real threat posed by bottled water.

I am amazed at the coherence of the statement made by the boy's mother, given that she is the sort of farkwit whose kid ends up in a care home.

Could we just please ban babies? What is so important that you need to take a baby on a plane?

He's a runaway, a drain on the state, and was headed for Lisbon. What a waste of sperm.

Would have been good for the UK. Bad for Lisbon.

Next time, kid, try a little harder, and don't let the plane's door hit your arse on the way onboard. At least if you had tried the cargo hold of a British Airways plane (they lost 10,000 bags last week during the terror alert), it would have taken longer to find you.

Why do 12 year-olds hate America?

2006-08-16 09:39:05 AM
was his name Kevin McCalister? And did he get seperated from his family when he was putting new batteries into his hand held recorder/cassette player? And then did he run into the boarding attendent, and say his ticket was somewhere with all the other papers she dropped? And then did he go to New York, and thwart two criminals from robbing a toy store? And finally, was it all done with hilarious hijinks?

Sounds like the kid has an issue, not the mother perhaps he's in care because he's a nutjob...er I mean has mental health issues.

TFA: The boy was detected by member of the Monarch Airlines cabin crew only after he was seated and had been given a drink and a snack. He was removed from the plane by police officers before the flight took off.

I think for the good of mankind, we need to sneak some babies and toddlers on the plane. So the FAA will have to ban them too ;)

Why do I get this image of the boy waving out the window of the plane, enjoying a pack of Mentos, as the security guard leans out of the jetway and shakes his fist?

"My worry is that if you have terrorists in these airports they could be looking round for someone who is vulnerable, and get them to take things on the planes for them,"

You fail at life lady, haha. That would be the most unreliable terrorist plot ever.

"Okay Abdul, I've finalized our plan. You take the bomb to the airport, find some kid wandering the terminal, and convince them to sneak past security onto a plane, with the bomb."
"What do I do if the kid just goes to his mom and complains that a creepy bearded man was talking to him?"
"Um... run?"

Of course the son runs away from a daycare and boards an international flight to Lisbon and all the mother can comment about is

""My worry is that if you have terrorists in these airports they could be looking round for someone who is vulnerable, and get them to take things on the planes for them," she told the Daily Mail. "

If you were a better parent, your son wouldn't have career aspiratons in the field of terrorism as it is obvious he does.

Perhaps they should send him to a Turkish prison.

There, he can hang around the gymnasium.

Worry not. Michael Jackson will extract the liquids from all the 12-year-old boys in the interest of public safety.
