This dude's got a Dio-era Black Sabbath album above Slayer's "Reign in Blood".

He's got problems.
2006-08-15 03:46:38 PM
No Grand Funk?
2006-08-15 03:48:00 PM
This dude's got Seasons in the Abyss above Reign in Blood.

He's got his head up his ass.
2006-08-15 03:50:08 PM
2wolves: No Grand Funk?

Locomotion is heavy metal?
2006-08-15 03:50:42 PM
oh boy here we go...
2006-08-15 03:51:03 PM
No Stryper? Fark that.
2006-08-15 03:55:54 PM
This list is all kinds of f'ed up. It's more like some guy's favorite albums by his favorite 6 or 7 bands.
2006-08-15 03:57:03 PM
These variations stopped being funny after "here comes the seance".

/ or maybe fate was pre-determined when Baffleck uttered the original phrase
// either one
2006-08-15 03:57:28 PM
He put "Rust In Peace" at Number 2, Paranoid at number 1, SBS at number 4 and "Powerslave" at number 5. Good enough for me.
2006-08-15 03:58:06 PM
How does Master of Puppets end up below 'Them'???
2006-08-15 03:59:14 PM
Rush ain't heavy metal.

It's pretentious hoser crap ... but it's not metal.
2006-08-15 04:02:13 PM
...But how the hell did COC's "Deliverance" and "Wiseblood" make it and "Blind" not? "Blind" blows both of those albums away. Now that I look at it, they did good with the inclusion of a lot of good metal albums, but most of them aren't in the right order, and some are just plain missing. At least Rush got in there with "Caress of Steel." A disturbingly underrated album.
2006-08-15 04:10:54 PM

"Born to Die"

I keeeed.
2006-08-15 04:17:07 PM
No Scorpions?
[image from too old to be available]
2006-08-15 04:19:01 PM
Good King Diamond choices, but not enough Venom
2006-08-15 04:20:18 PM
No Scorpions?

Still one of my top ten fave albums. Liked the album art on Love at First Sting better, though.

That'd be a thread ... best heavy metal album cover art.

/BRB, gotta Google ...
2006-08-15 04:23:47 PM
What the hell is "Caress of Steel" doing on the list?
It's a great album but "one of these things is not like the others".
2006-08-15 04:23:48 PM
Did somebody call me?

/can't believe how many I don't own
//makes me feel young
2006-08-15 04:29:31 PM
Where the hell is Jethro Tull?
2006-08-15 04:38:28 PM
Why the hell is everything on there either Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden till they run out of those ideas, then everything turns into Megadeth or Metallica.. I dont think this guy knows enough metal to make any form of list.
2006-08-15 04:38:43 PM
This list is garbage. They left off so many great bands, and put on some real lame albums. You put Rush on there, but forget Lamb of God? WTF? No Judas Priest, but Rainbow has like 3 albums on there?
2006-08-15 04:48:22 PM
i_hate_milk: This list is garbage.

Agreed! Some random bloggers favorite albums is all it is. Way too many good albums missing.

/Vulgar Display of Power #44!?!??....Idiot.
2006-08-15 05:01:13 PM
SmashLimousines: Where the hell is Jethro Tull?

They're on the Flute Rock list. I like Tull and I like some metal but I won't ever get the two confused.
2006-08-15 05:02:00 PM
He obviously really like Black Sabbath and Megadeth.

I love Sabbath but I'm not a big fan of Megadeth so I certainly would not have included all their albums.

Does Rammstein count as 'heavy metal'? I would have put Rammstein in there somewhere.
2006-08-15 05:03:38 PM
Flibble's top 5 fave metal albums of all time:

1). Ozzy - Blizzard of Ozz
2). Scorpions - Love at First Sting
3). Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast
4). AC/DC - Back In Black
5). Metallica - Ride the Lightning
2006-08-15 05:10:01 PM
No Testament?

List = incomplete
2006-08-15 05:40:32 PM
The list could not be more broken.
2006-08-15 06:22:57 PM
SmashLimousines: Where the hell is Jethro Tull?

Nice! I'd forgotten about that whole fiasco.
2006-08-15 06:37:49 PM
I agree with #2

Rust In Piece is as good as it gets and well suited at the top 5
2006-08-15 06:44:52 PM
Party Boy: Rust In Piece is as good as it gets and well suited at the top 5

Rust in Peace isn't even Megadeth's best album, let alone #2 of all the metal albums ever.
2006-08-15 06:46:09 PM
Your opinion

I like the color blue. Lets argue.
2006-08-15 06:47:15 PM
What, no Stryper?

[image from too old to be available]

/Vulgar Display is ranked way too low
//Rust in Peace is awesome!! Hangar 18 still rocks tits
2006-08-15 06:48:28 PM
Just listened to Judas Priest's debut album around the campfire last night(+4 beers). Rocked!
2006-08-15 06:49:09 PM

Party Boy - "I like the color blue. Lets argue."

Made me laugh... Comedy gold! :)
2006-08-15 06:50:27 PM
I bet that the dude who wrote this list has top notch personal hygiene.
2006-08-15 06:50:54 PM
Shut the fark up. Yes you. I'm telling you how it is. Learn it. Live it.

#1. Black Sabbath Vol. 4 -- Black Sabbath
#2. Paranoid -- Black Sabbath
#3. Master of Puppets -- Metallica
#4. Black Sabbath (I)
#5. Vulgar Display of Power -- Pantera
2006-08-15 06:51:36 PM

What, no Pat Boone ?? Heresay !

[image from too old to be available]

2006-08-15 06:51:55 PM
That list is shiat.
2006-08-15 06:52:18 PM
This list is so crappy, it doesn't even dignify a response.

/although I suppose by pointing that out, I've responded.
2006-08-15 06:52:20 PM
No Testament. No Exodus. No Priest. No Anthrax. No Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Yngwie or Iron Savior for the power metal crowd. No Ministry, Rammstein, Laibach or Fear Factory for the metal-oriented rivetheads. No Mayhem, Carcass, Emperor, Death, or Dark Angel for the death and black metallers. Entirely too goddamned much of Ronnie James Dio. This list is filled with stupid.

But at least he likes King Diamond.
2006-08-15 06:52:27 PM
I agree with mybluemake - the Scorps belong on that list
2006-08-15 06:52:33 PM
NO Jethro Tull?
2006-08-15 06:52:51 PM

I'm youtubing some of these songs, loving this list.

/listening to where eagles dare right now.
2006-08-15 06:54:03 PM
Why do these idiots who make these lists always start at number 1.
2006-08-15 06:54:08 PM
Where the hell is the Dragonforce? How can you possibly have a metal list without Dragonforce?
2006-08-15 06:54:08 PM
...and who the hell is Rainbow?? That sounds about as metal as the Oak Ridge Boys.
2006-08-15 06:54:36 PM
Good job at putting Rust in Peace at #2. I would have rated Peace Sells higher than #18 though.

/Peace sells...but who's buuuuuuuying?
//Slashes just can't do Dave Mustaine justice
2006-08-15 06:54:58 PM
A top fifty Metal album list without a single Priest album? What a joke. The guy definitely has a hard on for Sabbath though.
2006-08-15 06:55:22 PM
I hate these lists. So why am I here? I had to mention that Rush is not farking metal. It's whiney college pussy shiat.
