All depends on the country, in Holland age of consent is 12, in some parts of Canada it's 14, large parts of Europe it's 16, and depending on the US state, its generally 17 or 18

Not really. That's the kicker here, in Western Australia, where Perth and this kid are located, age of consent is 16. So it's all completely legal. If it were a guy going over there to be with a 16 year old girl, still wouldn't matter. Completely legal.

The child support/custody thing is still a sticky wicket, but nobody is technically committing any crimes here.
